I’ve made it, I’ve caught up on all the new episodes now! I've left my thoughts on all the previous new episodes too. Only took me 2 evenings. Proud of myself. ;) Well shit, as soon as he said the island disappears when the tide comes in, my anxiety went through the roof for Louise! Where is she? Is she definitely on this island? Like, damn. But then I caught up in their banter again - so relieved that the conflict has passed and still hoping for some communication on what was said before. But I do prefer the banter so my heart rate can stay at a non lethal level and my rage monster inside scuttles back to her little dark corner. He did not try to call her little bro and choke on his tongue saying it! Baha. It threw me for a loop for a second again, I wasn’t sure I followed the joke properly. But the way she called him out on him, “Bleah urrghh!” made me cackle! She really is a sadistic snarky little hamster and it’s just the kind of energy Tora needs to have around him. Also makes sense he didn’t ask to be called Big Bro, but I’d love to know a little backstory of how that came about. Or someone refresh my memory. A serious re-read of the whole series is well overdue for me. You’re never ever going island hopping again looking for a potential murder victim, Poppy? Can’t say I blame you. Seasickness doesn’t sound fun. Haha! Tora calling her out on it was accurate. I can definitely see her doing something like this again if she thinks it's the right thing to do to save someone or follow through on the hunch. Tora’s not daft, he knows her more than she realises. Which makes me swoon a whole lot! Fucking howling at her asking if he used to race in dresses and heels! ONLY Poppy!! She knows how to get a reaction out of him and I fucking love it!! Hmm, she called it on his crankiness, being stuck with an old boat when he’s used to ‘red’. And we see you looking for some kind of validation there asking if there were pretty girls there, Poppy. Judgement free zone here, babes. “Or maybe…it’s that feeling of lightness when we’re finally free of remorse?” Girl has a very good point. His sudden switch in mood, vitamin d and serotonin aside, he’s definitely a lot lighter and more relaxed. And who could blame him. He must carry enough guilt and remorse to fill a lifetime. But Poppy’s thoughts to the contrary had me jittery again. “Being an emotional sponge sucks. Or I’m just severely sleep deprived.” Both. Both are correct. I too am an emotional sponge and it is its own level of exhaustion. So boy do I relate to her a LOT here. “Tora’s so honest *Unlike me*.” ERM! Tiger definitely has omitted some hefty stuff, so don’t put him on a pedestal just yet miss Poppy. But also, what haven’t you told us Poppy? Anything to do with you being in the mafia too? Something about your mum? Anything, *anything* you want to be ‘honest’ about Poppy? Enquiring minds want to know! And I have so many more questions for you. Also, WHERE IS GOLIATH? Had to throw that one in there because what she said triggered me, haha. I too think Tora has pretty hands. They do look pretty amazing. Tora giving himself a giggling/coughing fit is also a mood!! I love those moments when you’re so tired you reach the point of no return, high as a kite and just have zero fucks left to give. Except my giggles inevitably turn into hysterical crying. My husband loves to joke and hug me through. But I digress, reading Tora, who rarely gives more than a pft pft, this is comic gold. A balm for my weary soul and I needed it. “Bobby…I’m choking on my tongue - “ Hahaha, I am cackling even harder at that! Poppy is paying you no attention tiger, get yourself together. *Wheeze* I’M HOWLING!! I say it every time but the comedic moments are priceless!! Ohhhh, what was the wrong pic? What did she take a photo of? I NEED TO SEE IT! I have definitely zoomed in too, trying to find clues or see what they were seeing. But the funny moment burst like a balloon as shit got serious real quick. The relief I felt that they got Louise, was short lived when I realised that shadow is in Tora’s eye again and his Balthuman symbol is showing. Please, please don’t have that come back and bite him in the arse. I can only hope as Tora has saved her life, she’ll do the kindness of not asking too many questions about that particular tattoo. But also, what’s going to happen to Louise? Will she go to the manor with them? Keep her hidden from everyone? Will ex-cop boat lady help her? So many questions and I’m so so eager to see how this new turn of events is going to go! You have me in your grip once again, Lily, thank you! It took me a couple of chapters to reconnect to the story, but I’m there now and I’m bracing myself - again - for this wild ride!
