SilentPatch for Colin McRae Rally 3
Earlier this month I finally released a patch for Colin McRae Rally 3 that I've been showcasing for several months by now. It seems to be reasonably successful, and until now no critical bugs were found - so it's all good!
We don't know yet if (or when) CMR04 and CMR2005 are going to follow - but if they do, we'll be sure to provide an experience as polished as with CMR3!
Other work:
PCSX2
- Qt: Clear the status text after gamelist scanning - a very small fix for an outstanding Qt UI issue where "Scanning directory..." persisted after launch until overwritten by another status text.
- DInputSource: Use wil on m_dinput_module - a minor code style fix to use Windows Implementation Libraries for unloading a DirectInput DLL.
- Remove explicit save state cache invalidation and add a distinct error when a save state file doesn't exist + regression fix - a UI fix for the save state list not refreshing when states were deleted. My initial change caused a minor regression that I fixed shortly after.
- GameDB: Correct Colin McRae Rally 3 sun rendering - game specific settings for Colin McRae Rally 3.
- WS: Colin McRae Rally 3 (SLUS-20502) - widescreen cheat for the US version of CMR3, that removed the 4:3/16:9 option for performance reasons.
DuckStation
- Updated Polish translation - a new Polish translation made by elektronicznypank that I tidied up and submitted since I have PR rights to the repository.
- Update English plural texts - an update of the English "translation" for a new UI.
