🤣🤣🤣 I'm dead!!! Hilarious

Tracey Hopkins

Consider though that the "white men" saying he should die were not the people that were trying to catch, arrest, and prosecute him. You're making it sound like the people on the ground are more fair than the people in power.

MBA

Actually, it sounded to me like the "people of color" were doing the praising, singing songs about him & it was the "white men" saying that he should die.

RandomDeathMetaller

Exactly!

Ok Katie, now apply that to Blacks and Latinos in America. That is what I meant by "other people" getting way more time for just one of his crimes. There are PLENTY of black youths that fend for themselves and get twice as much time vs whites. Case and point: https://www.washingtonpost.com/news/wonk/wp/2015/01/30/black-teens-who-commit-a-few-crimes-go-to-jail-as-often-as-white-teens-who-commit-dozens/ I didn't want to come on here and throw the race card out there, but it seems like not everyone truly knows that is what we (Blacks and Latinos) go through in America. So YES, you are right in saying that kids shouldn't have to fend for themselves and live in tents in one of the richest countries in the world. However, the facts remain, if that white boy was a black boy or a latino boy there would be no social media out pour of support. There would be no "Bare foot bandit for President" calls. The law needs to be fair for ALL AMERICANS. Jail and prison reform needs to happen to help ALL AMERICANS. Not just white Americans.

Gee, Lisa, maybe if he'd been removed early on from his worthless parents and provided with the same educational opportunities as kids in neighboring areas, he might not have become a criminal. Take Bill Gates out of his privileged environment and stick him with Colton's parents. Does he still become a billionaire or does he turn into the Barefoot Bandit? What the hell kind of community lets a kid live in a tent in the woods? What kind of people are we if we overlook the fact that he had to fend for himself from a very young age because we think he wasn't suitably punished? Please don't tell me that plenty of people have survived worse. In the United States, they shouldn't have to.

KatieK

Wow if he were a person of color he would have been at leastvillianized, and at worst killed. This is not right, people of color should not be treated worse and white men should not be praised for crimes.

Cassandra L

To be honest, our society would be better off if we treated our thieves like the Barefoot bandit as opposed to what usually happens. Which are summary executions "in self-defense"

MBA

Is there a new podcase or whats up?

David Magazzinich

These two stories are mind boggling. Why were these two dudes constantly given slaps on their hands for the crimes they committed. Other people would have gotten why more time for just one of their crimes. Bare foot bandit's momma should have gone to jail too because it was mostly her fault he ended up like that... Good episode though.

Imma Bigfoot

Omg I lost it at HE’S BAAAAAACK

C

Right?! Came out of left field for sure.

Jeff Henry

Great episode loved hearing a story from my neck of the woods! Pun intended 😝

Brenda Diaz

Boy that ended oddly. The cyrogenic freezing crowd are...ugh.

MBA

ahh. This is super thrilling for me, this is a very local story. The plane crash in granite falls was a huge deal in my small town.

Daya Flickinger

'Atta boy. Good job, great story telling, as usual.

Caroline Cruz

Woohoo!🎉
