What Is Calxiyn Phase 3?

Good day everyone!

It's August which historically has meant I've snapped in some way LOL. (Every year around August, I've done something drastic to the Patreon, or to my Channel haha. But I'm just joking)

Allow me to introduce you to Calxiyn phase 3! This will be broken up into two halves - Patreon side, and YouTube side.

Patreon:

The first thing I did was update my Patreon bio to go more into depth of the image for myself and my channel.

It's a little long, but the sentiment is that I want to solidify my channel as a place where we celebrate our love of these shows and video games, while going the extra mile to really analyze every detail. Of course we do reactions, but I want to move away from the idea that I make "reaction videos" and more into the idea that I make "analysis videos" that also happen to have reactions included as part of the experience, since the first impression of the viewer is just as important when it comes to how we take in a story!

The next thing I did was change the tiers slightly. Nothing big was changed, I just edited them down to make them shorter to read. $100 patrons now get to be apart of the "Royal Court Grand Hall" where your name will be included at the end of a video if you've pledged to the $100 tier once, forever, which I think is really nice.

This may be hard to see on the computer (if you don't have dark mode), but this is what goes at the end of my videos in the outro. I also changed the outro

So we are now using fancy text, while making sure it's thick enough to be readable.

I'm also commissioning a special outro from Yolie that will be something very special, but it won't be finished until around the RWBY Volume. This outro will make watching the Patron names more fun I think! (I've also done the August outro if anyone is wondering, but I'm currently out of Vimeo space lol. You'll see it on the Beastars Episode 4 and Odd Taxi Episode 6 uploads and anything else that hasn't been pre recorded going forward)

I also added these two crazy tiers, bringing back video commissions. Someone who has helped YouTubers create a lot of Patreon pages said that it's good to have high paying tiers, because all you need is one person who is willing to spend that high etc.

YouTube:

Calxiyn's Corner will be the spot for lifestyle content. Declutters, Hair Tutorials, Routine videos, ADHD, School, etc. Possibly vlogs in the future if we get there. Basically a place where I can post "real life" stuff that doesn't fit with the anime and game analysis content on 'Calxiyn'. I currently posted some of the declutters to Patrons already, but there will be more variety coming soon. I'm planning to do the hair tutorial this weekend I hope, lol.

Calxiyn Sings will be where all the song covers will move to in the future! I reposted the Penny song cover here with a brand new thumbnail that I think looks a LOT better than the first one. The monthly song covers promised in the Patreon goals will be posted on this channel. The idea is that I will do song covers on the shows I cover. For example, I'll make the Shadows House anime review videos but then direct all those Shadows House subscribers to a Shadows House song cover.

Right now, Catt is back and working on a Shadows House arrangement for me. In the future, I have plans to do Barbie, Disney, RWBY, and other anime song covers. If you want to hear me sing, you should subscribe to that channel.

The Queen's Court Podcast channel will be the new location for the Podcasts. The podcasts did REALLY well on the main channel so I am a littttttle worried about doing this, but I think that this will be better in the end. Again, I want to keep my main channel anime and video game focused. The idea is that people who watch my content regularly will see the Podcast in their suggested and subscribe to this channel, whereas people who don't watch whatever anime is in season, but still like the two of us will subscribe. This channel will re-release the first two podcasts, but Noah is also going to be editing "Podcast Highlights" ala The Trash Taste Podcast.

Hunter and I are still planning to do the University Podcast, but I actually want to do it as we go back to school to talk about our experience and compare the two experiences. The Podcast goal is at the $900 tier, which we currently aren't at, but right now I owe y'all at least 1 podcast. Please subscribe to the podcast channel if you enjoy the podcasts!

Calxiyn LIVE is going to be an interesting experiment. I want to stream more "cutesy" games that are relaxing. I think that I'm going to stream these on the main Calxiyn channel so I can get views and interaction, but then reupload the VODs to this channel. The live chat will be archived within the stream like many VTubers do (or if you've seen Arnold's Twitch Chat up in his E3 Reactions).

I don't think Hello Kitty or Strawberry Shortcake streams are going to do very well on Twitch lol, but my YouTube viewers, especially the Miraculous viewers may enjoy it. But I don't want those streams to stay on my main channel either, which is why I'm going to reupload them.

This is basically it for now. Now to answer some questions:

"Cal, isn't this overwhelming?"

Not really. Most of these things were things I was doing anyway that I just want to "relocate". Other than the Calxiyn's Corner stuff, all these other channels are really just "relocation" channels for stuff I was already doing. People with ADHD are also constantly seeking novelty lol - so I think that this will help keep things refresh for you guys AND for me.

"What will the schedule be like for these channels?"

The singing channel will at least have one cover a month, as per the Patreon goal. It's possible there may be more. Anything after the $350 goal goes to paying the editors. So really the $700 goal creates the surplus which allows me to pay Catt to make custom arrangements. There are some songs that won't require any custom arrangements, like Disney, Barbie, etc, where arrangements are already available online. So basically you can probably expect something like, one Anime song, and one non-anime song to start. Shadows House Cover, and a Barbie cover for example.

Otherwise I'm planning to release a video somewhere every Friday. The next Declutter will be posted this Friday. After that the Podcast will be posted the Friday after. Basically the channels will work in a "rotation of Fridays", unless there are more videos than there are Fridays lol. You can view the schedule for these channels here. Feel free to create suggestions about topics and such!

"What's Next?"

Because I can't say how much of my time or energy this new intensive Uni program is going to take out of me, I really can't say for sure what's next. I know I want to do more Video Essays and more "Gaming Reactions." I'm pretty burnt out from anime, as I've been recording ODDTAXI and BEASTARS 3 or 4 times a week. There's Persona, TWEWY - so many games that I think people would enjoy my reactions to vs not a lot of anime I'm super interested in right now.

Hunter and I are going to finish the RWBY DC Comics, and I will finish ODDTAXI and Beastars by the end of August. This will give us a good buffer of pre-recorded content that I can post throughout the first school semester.

Obviously we'll be doing our RWBY content when RWBY comes back. I expect to record multiple videos the RWBY novel. Miraculous has 12 episodes left. After RWBY and Miraculous are finished for a while, I can probably do pre-recorded anime like Korra and ERASED in place of those, but for now I think it's save to say after BEASTARS and ODDTAXI, I'm taking a pre-record break lol. AoT will be the next anime I cover.

TLDR; Less anime pre-recording starting September, more video essays, more gaming, same RWBY and Miraculous content as usual. After that, I guess we'll see!

I think I've rambled long enough XD I hope that this makes you guys excited or answers any questions you have about the future.

Let me know if you have any questions or suggestions!
