Great idea, i enjoyed it a lot. Was very nice to listen to August actually, considering that he's a 'behind the scenes' part of the channel. I personally am not that into pop, so was very happy to hear you guys discuss other genres as well. Reeally hoping to get more podcasts in the future!

2021-11-08 09:35:59 +0000 UTCCan I be a little controversial here, please don't hate me? I love all three of you but I don't think you have the right balance with Jonas and August in the Podcast. I know it's the trial run and it's an obvious choice, maybe it was the topics chosen but it felt weird (digging a hole for myself). It's probably just me but I pick up that Jonas and August have a weird chemistry, I know you guys go way back but I don't know, maybe it's because they are both opinionated they come across as bickering with each other?? If you were in a room together it would be ok to see the debates play out but when it's over zoom/video call it doesn't come across the same. For this reason, one of you needs to take the reigns and help the flow of the topic by presenting more questions, drawing other people into the conversation and making it more natural (like you would if you were chilling on the couch with a beer). I think your podcasts just need to be what your devil's advocate videos used to be like. You all do a little research into a few topics (preferably you all like to make it fun) and then the lead talker gets to throw the curve ball out and let the others talk, creating a more natural flow by allowing each other to have a say. I'll shut up now, I've probably upset the whole Patreon family...**Goes and sits in the corner to think about what she said!**

It seemed like you guys would get into a rhythm, but when you had to avoid words it got a little confused. Apart from that I really enjoyed it! I literally put my laptop to the side and enjoyed listening to what you had to say. I think it would be nice if Joel picked a topic too, as he didn't this time. I enjoy your chemistry and would love to watch another!

2021-09-27 21:43:11 +0000 UTCThis was super fun! From the intro and seing you three, first I thought the podcast is gonna be about music theory, making music or some in-depth song/artist review. That would be very interesting. Could you guys see each other when recording? Sometimes you were interrupting each other (which I find mildly irritating) or starting talking at the same time and I thought maybe it was because of lack of nonverbal signs during that conversation. You obviously needed some warmup as you were more relaxed and natural (and I loved it!) in the second half of the podcast. So maybe it would help to start with something just for fun next time; or to have a warmup topic offcamera. Maybe you could have some simple script or a list of topics/ideas and how the person presenting wants to approach them so you all know where they're going with it. Just little enough so it's less messy, but still spontaneous. Each episode could have a topic and what you guys find and present would revolve around that one topic. Once you said that most music on the charts is minimalistic, so maybe you could talk about non-minimalistic pop music; or what you listen to and why you think it's good.

Good balance of discussion and joking around/banter. Jonas’ top list and the quiz was fun at the end (maybe just cos I knew the answers lol). Whenever Joel or Jonas comment on smth rock related that they don’t know much about I get a mixed feeling of amusement and despair, but their perspectives are funny. I do believe Ozzy could bite the head off a baseball bat. I don’t have any good suggestions to contribute for future podcasts rn, but I’m totally down for more 😍

Obviously music is quite subjective, but there are objective facets as well, such as using certain beats, sounds, or open vowels etc. I really enjoy the organic banter and would love to learn more about music as well. Great job guys, I think this is a great podcast!

I like that I can just listen to it, because you did a good job in verbalising what you see, but I just enjoy watching too much to guarantee that I would get addicted to audio-only the same way. The combination of the three of you is just perfect the way it is (for me). I like it that August and Jonas bring in the topics and I thought the speaking ratios were good as well, it just felt natural. I liked that you also slightly talked about music in interplay with society and currently relevant topics without getting to controversal. And everyone likes top 10 lists and quizzes. The censoring bothers me a little bit as well - so if it's not necessary... As I would listen to this pile of randomness and variety, I would also enjoy even more musical knowledge, insights in your time at songwriting school, music analysis... But everything enriched with your humour. I think it's the flexibility in the content and that you all can talk about the things you're interested in in that moment that makes the podcast good. Thank you for this late night/early morning experience ♥️

Specifically, what I’m thinking about is when he live-streamed his daily vocal warm up. I really enjoyed that because it felt like being part of his day and it was also nice getting some tips for my own warm ups. I think it’s fun being able to hang out with you while you guys are hanging out, as someone said in a previous comment. It’s nice getting to know you all more and I think a podcast would be a really entertaining way to do that. I’m sure we all have plenty of ideas on possible topics :)

I loved the random music knowledge and would love to hear more like this. Each of you has a lot of knowledge in different styles, so it sums up pretty well. A good mix of random topic podcasts and maybe professional knowledge podcasts would be interesting to listen to.

Here’s a few of my thoughts: - I love the idea of an audio only option released as well for on the go. (Commute, runs, errands etc) - The combo of Joel+Jonas+August is 100% it. And I feel like you guys really found your groove the last 20 minutes. I’d love to see more banter and chat between y’all “like friends just hanging out”. Makes it feel more real/personal for us so we can really connect to you guys. - Do we still have to censor everything if you’re on a podcast forum? I know the reasoning why it’s done on YT no shade just curious since no other podcasts I listen to censor to this level. Overall I think you guys did fantastic for your first podcast and hope this is something that sticks. Keep it relatable and fun and y’all are golden. Loved the little Easter eggs of knowledge/trivia along the way too. My faves were Jonas’ “top x list” and the quiz from August at the end. Great work, guys!

I was always curious about what Joel considers to be good and bad lyrics in pop music or just generally speaking because I've seen him complain multiple times about this in his past videos. Like, what would be considered good writing for people who actually studied music and what is the basis for that, what do you look for, because "deep" and "meaningful" doesn't seem to be part of it necessarily, especially for pop.
