Yeah, I don't think I've ever agreed with Joe so thoroughly about anything on this podcast. Killers of the Flower Moon had an interesting subject, but Scorsese just didn't do anything with it. With the exception of Lily Gladstone everything in this was flat. DeNiro's accent was laughable; the original music felt all wrong; and the pace was just..yeah, like yall said: a "slog". These smart women kept sitting around waiting to get ripped off and then picked off? Doesn't make any sense at all.

2024-01-18 00:43:55 +0000 UTCThis movie didn’t feel like a movie. It really felt like a top tier, informative, shoulda-been three part History Channel special. I would have LOVED watching this in high school/college history classes but not so much sitting on my couch on a Friday night. I don’t really think it was a bad movie but it just felt like maybe this wasn’t the best medium to tell this story. It also would have been nice to actually get a little more screen time from the Osage people and how they were living day to day with what was going on around them. Maybe the focal point of the film should have been Plemons like Joe said. But instead it seems like they wanted Leo to be the focal point to sell the movie. Just doesn’t feel like this movie sells or should try too.

He’s been one of my favorite comics for years, what about getting him on the pod as a guest? He always makes me laugh realllly hard. I know guests are rare on WSYIH but Pepitone would be a great one. If you haven’t heard it yet, check out his podcast. It’s some of the silliest surreal noir sketches you’ve ever heard. Hard belly laughs. Anyway, all the best in the new year to you both 🍻✌🏼
