I usually agree with Pat as well but I can’t believe he likes that annoying song

Thank you Joe for saying what needs to be said. That thing you do blows

Love the episode. Makes rainy Vancouver mornings more bearable. P.S. come to Vancouver please 🤞

Is that the one where he sings his new theme? If it is I love that fucking ep. “Like Alf and the dad from Alf!!”

I’m surprised neither of The Boys were traumatized by Ghost as a child. I was born/raised Catholic and when Pat mentioned it, I shuddered. Also, I’ve always loved That Thing You Do because I’m failed drummer myself. I haven’t seen it in many years.

I wanna see that, because I know there's a better version than the dvd i saw 15 years ago.

Thank you Joe, sorry Pat, I usually side with you, but That Thing You Do sucks!! I wanted to like it so much, but it's gimmicky as hell..

I had the opposite reaction to Joe. Didn’t like Doctor Sleep when I saw it in theatres but loved the Directors Cut when it was released. That extra half hour gives you a lot of nice moments with the characters. Not a fan of the Overlook stuff but Henry Thomas is great as Jack Torrance.

Going through old eps and lost episode 8 live from la pt 2 has me in stitches. Pat your voice is amazing, reminiscent of pavement or Harvey danger! Folks, Pat’s got the business and if your looking for an amazing older ep to pop on I recommend!!!

Joe definitely saw the theatrical version of That Thing You Do. That is one of the few films I will only ever watch the directors cut of now. It definitely cleans up some of simplistic script issues (they fix some major issues by extending the story into something a little sadder and more about how phony fame is). Simple cut but I think there is a scene where you see the band rocking out and the camera pans out to see how gross state fairs are. Small edits make a big difference.
