November Episode Two - Five Nights At Freddy's
Added 2023-11-15 16:19:49 +0000 UTCThe boy's review this BEAR of a movie...but does it roar or is it hibernating?! You probably already know the answer to that question. Still, enjoy this discussion about the latest video game adaptation gone confusingly mediocre!

2023-11-19 05:03:23 +0000 UTCI just watched Surviving Christmas, an obscure mid 2000s Ben Affleck Christmas movie and one of the all time bad Christmas movies. It’s pretty awful and I think you guys would have a blast poking fun at it. Gandolfini shows his extremely limited range as an actor. There’s an odd subplot where the mom does porn that isn’t given any closure. It’s a bad film and easy to laugh at how bad it is. Would be super cool if you guys reviewed it 😂

2023-11-18 16:47:00 +0000 UTCThis movie couldn’t decide whether it was a horror movie, a comedy or a drama. The animatronics didn’t even present a threat to the main characters till about the last 20 minutes of the movie. Worst of all it was just so damn boring.

2023-11-17 12:09:09 +0000 UTCHey Pat, when I moved to NYC I had very similar feelings towards thanksgiving. I didn’t go home but had friends invite me over but I felt like they were inviting me just to be nice, so I didn’t go and stayed home. It sucked. The next year I accepted their invitation and have gone every year since, and it’s the best. Just go! You’ll be glad you did.

2023-11-16 15:39:56 +0000 UTCI thought it was decent as well. Nowhere near my favorite Fincher but it was serviceable. Was a little confused by the “bumbling comments”; to me it just felt more realistic than the typical hit man character. The pacing is a little tough at times. I found after like a day or so I liked it more looking back on it than I did initially. One thing…if you’re that obsessed with the Smiths, maybe invest in some decent headphones/in ear monitors rather than listening to music all day long through a pair of $9 earbuds.

2023-11-16 14:06:35 +0000 UTCLoved The Killer, personally. Thought it was really good at showing you how methodical/cold you'd have to be as a hitman. I didn't find him bumbling at all. I also like the pacing, it did a good job and showing how you'd have to maneuver in semi-real time. Thought the pacing made it feel realistic. So you can walk in his shoes, so to say

2023-11-16 05:22:24 +0000 UTCOverall I enjoyed FNAF, as someone who owned a comic shop at the time the game was released, I couldn’t be more obsessed with the lore of these games that the kids in my shop would pass along to me. A very interesting case study in horror gaming for sure. Needless to say the movie absolutely stunk, but I was surprised with the overall production. Henson studios on the animatronics, screenplay written by the game’s creator, tons of cool Easter eggs for the fans that cared. Could’ve been way more copy/paste. Also still can’t believe you guys were entertained by M3gan. That movie is pretty damn close to FNAF on the shit acting and lack of suspense.

2023-11-15 20:30:40 +0000 UTCMan two of my friends (one guy, one gal) have said it’s fantastic. Letterboxd is overall loving it. But I’ve definitely heard some mixed responses.

2023-11-15 20:29:58 +0000 UTCAnd yes, that young beautiful girl playing the cop is fucking ridiculous. Just awful casting. And so obviously shoe-horned in as the “romantic interest”, douche chills abound. And the montage scene where they’re building forts with the stupid fucking animatronics?!? Just retarded. I’m angrily mad at how bad this was, as Joe seems to be as well lol.

2023-11-15 20:15:59 +0000 UTCIt wasn’t on consoles originally. My daughter loved these games growing up so of course I played them with her —she was like, 9 or 10 years. But this movie man. Was just god awful. Worst movie of the year, doubt that’ll change. Just absolute dogshit. They should have gone a little darker-this definitely is PG material despite the PG-13 rating. At least TRY to be a little scarier, like horror for teens — Goosebumps etc. This was a fucking kid’s movie. Yeah they made money but for the longevity of the series as a Franchise, they royally fucked up. And the second I saw Matthew lillard, I knew he was ultimately behind it — especially since he hires him and acts invested in this guy getting the job. And when the lead dude randomly jumps and punches this dad because this kid was acting lost? Lol. Maybe his kid just wandered off. Laughably ridiculous.

2023-11-15 20:09:13 +0000 UTCPat thank you for echoing my thoughts on the killer, that movie was terrible. It’s done in classic Netflix fashion and it’s a boring hodgepodge of his earlier work. It was a bummer, and I wished years ago Netflix would stop making movies.

2023-11-15 19:33:21 +0000 UTCAlso, I hate to be a nudge here but can we discuss a few more horror/fantasy/sci-fi flicks in the corner? I can't stand to hear about another decades old woody Allen movie. Please...
