RoboTortoise Update! Multiple 3mf options...

Hey Everyone!

I just updated the RoboTortoise to now includes 3 different Multicolor 3mf files!

I understand that the print times and filament use for this fella can be quite a bit, so I thought it would be useful to include some more efficient options in addition to the full 4-color version.

SO! The download now includes these three multicolor options...

4-Color:  The full “deluxe” print color scheme.
3-Color:  Save on some print time and filament use. Still very detailed coloring.
2-Color: Save even more print time and filament. A bit less detailed coloring, but still very fun!

The 2-color option would be great for people with IDEX printers! Though keep in mind that these 3MF files are not compatible with Cura. If you use Cura for your IDEX machine, I would check to see if there are printer profiles available for your machine in PrusaSlicer, Bambu Studio, or Orca Slicer.

I also made a few small updates to improve some of the steeper overhangs.

Redownload it now to get this latest version!

I'm not entirely sure what you are describing. Maybe send me some pictures so that I can get a better idea. help@matmiremakes.com

I'm super new to 3d printing, so I'm still learning. I just printed this over the weekend at 85% on a P1S, four color print. I just noticed on the upper part of the shell on the darker lines under/between the armor they not there, the armor color bled over to the next portion of the armor, would that be over-extrusion? It's only between the right and left side armor parts. It looks similar to the photo on etsy seller mymodernforge's listing. I'm pretty happy with the print overall, but I'd like to solve it for the next attempt.

Love this turtle. I did the four color print, scaled up to 150%. I have an issue with printing anything 100%. It came out flawlessly, no issues whatsoever. And as the creator states, no supports needed.

Wendell Tackett Jr

Nope, you shouldn’t need to generate supports for any of my articulated designs.

MatMire_Makes

Do you need to print with supports? I’m having an issue getting supports out of the back leg area😞😂

Allie Kat

I never got a response so I haven't tried printing it again. I lost 30hrs and filament on that plate.

David Long

Hey, were you able to get the issue with the head resolved?

Terrance Mullen

Anyone having problems with the heads breaking loose? 77% into the print and all heads are wobbling. Just curious because I used the supplied profile scaled to 70%, all models had wobbly heads so it failed the whole plate.
