2026 Roadmap
Added 2025-12-31 15:44:00 +0000 UTCHello everyone!
Hope you guys are having a great end of the year. :)
This is a bit of a different post, but with 2026 coming in soon, I wanted to share a sort of roadmap to help everyone see what to expect for next year.
There's a few things on my notes that I've been meaning to start this year, but because of some changes of plans, they had to be moved out to later. While things are up to change, and no clear date is properly defined yet (which is pretty funny for a road map), these are the things you can expect to see next year:
Breathhold Diaries: Denise
The visual novel has been out since February, and since then, I received some very helpful feedback on how to make it better.
Unfortunately, the engine that I used for the game (Visual Novel Maker) is incredibly buggy, sometimes it would lag to load things, and even at one point, refusing to play test the game entirely...I don't know why, but after the game was published, the engine refused to collaborate with me.
On top of that, the project files were deleted by accident when I was moving them around to organise things...so if I wanted to work on the game again, I would need to start it all from scratch.
Which, since July, that is EXACTLY what I've been doing. xD

Enjoying the "accidental removal" of the project, I decided to recreate the whole game on Unity, which is an engine I have better knowledge of.
Not only just a recreation, however, as with a bit more control over things, I was able to add much more than just the whole game again.
Here's a few things to expect on the new update:
Improved gallery sytem

One of the main little problems that some people pointed to me was that the gallery system being a bit messy and a bit overwhelming due to the different routes you can do.
So now, the gallery has been organized so that everything can be found easily, and without putting everyhthing in one place.
On top of that, you will be able to also check how to unlock a certain piece of the gallery by clicking on it once, as before, you would need to guess how to.
New Swimsuits

You'll be able to now select different swimsuits for Denise upon clearing one of the 4 endings of the game. This doesn't just change Denise's in game sprite, but also the illustrations that appear during the game as well.
Currently, there will be only 4 swimsuits (including Denise's Bikini), but if at any point I decide to add another update to the game, I could implement more of them as well.
Other changes
- New language option (Portuguese).
- New load system to make the experience more dynamic and easier to complete the gallery.
- New ending illustrations.
-One of the endings of the game was completely changed in order to not feel as similar to the other endings to the game, as after a second look, it did felt too similar
While the update is still a work in progress, it should hopefully be complete soon enough.
The shell game

(This name is temporary, go with it! xD)
After finishing the update for Breathhold Diaries, my main project will be exclusively back to the game that I released the alpha version last year.
After some feedback on the game's feel and idea, I've been meaning to add more to the game, and even add a new version to test this year...but alas, plans changed.
For 2026, I do not only plan on adding more to the game, but to also hopefully finish it. If not, then at least have enough where a demo can be released (or a beta, I'll take anything. xD).
For the next update of the alpha version, you can expect these new things to be added:
- Player Animations.
- Screen after you surface, revealing how many items collected, final grade, and rewards for the score obtained (rewards will be unusable for now).
- Proper title screen, menus, and game over screen
- Freeplay mode (you can swim around without needing to worry about air or collecting things.)
Like last time, the next update will be available for everyone, but after a week passes, it will be closed to members only.
Monthly Polls
Something a bit simple, but something that needs to be addressed.
This year, I failed really badly to do one poll a month. I was able to create the mega polls, which ended up really fun, but these could've been easily avoided and be much more organised.
So, starting from January, I'll be returning with one poll a month, where the illustrations will be set exclusively for members until the end of the month.
While I'm not sure about the exact dates yet, I do want to make them at the start of every month, maybe on the 5th or 7th day of the month, still thinking about it.
And no, I won't make members pick the character and clothing every time, because I feel that would be too tiresome. Maybe on special holidays like Halloween or Christmas, but for the other months, I will organize it myself to make things easier.
Exclusive Member's Story
Lastly, something that it might not be possible this year, but if I can do it, I'm okay with it.
Last year, I created a small yet important forum where I wanted to create a story that would come out exclusively for members first, and then become available to purchase on BOOTH.
If you keep up with my work, you know this is a bit hard for me to pull that off because I'm constantly working on commissions, which does take a good quantity of my time, but it is something that I must do.
So, to not overwhelm myself and to not put everything on hold, I will also include this new story into my to do list for this year...but only whenever I can draw.
The story might be represented through illustrations to make it easier on myself, and then compile everything into a comic once it's done. While I want to at least make one illustration every month, I know that, depending on the day, either I can make two illustrations of it, or it might not be possible at all. So, while the idea is something that I also want to do, and could be exciting, I would need to ask for patience on this matter in specific.
Oh, and on the matter of the story selected, here's the results of that form. I wanted to keep it a secret, but considering it's been a while, it would be good for everyone to know, just as a heads up. You can probably guess what the story is about by the name alone xD

I hope everyone is looking forward to everything I have to offer on 2026. :)
Wish you all a happy new year!
