Updates, changes and NEW THINGS

Okay, a bunch of tweaks and changes including updating the Patreon page to more properly reflect current things.

*New things and what the Patreon will provide going forward:

We've been settled on two new playable items monthly (1 parsecs, 1 leagues) for a while. This will continue. They can be scenarios, characters, updates of old stuff, whatever.

Starting with this month, Shoot People in Space will also get a new item each month. This will probably be about a page so you can just fit it in the back of your book and may be a bit of anything.

Each month, at least new blog post for the Unified Space blog. It will probably be two, but I am committing to one.
A new post on both of the historical gaming blogs (Danish military history and the First World War). The first topic is obviously super niche so thats more of a freebie really. Both are things I am working on while preparing some games down the line though.

Some of you wont be interested in that stuff, but since its basically extra content on top of what you were already getting, you arent really losing anything.

Plus the usual stuff (maintaining the discord, answering questions online, updating FAQs and so forth).

I have been working on making my work flow more systematic and regular, since it helps avoid the crazy imbalance I have where I will work 3 hours one day and 25 hours the next. This makes it a lot more realistic and means I can spend more time with the family, while also working on new projects to sell and new material for the overlords.

So to summarize: 3 playable pieces of content every month, at least 3 blog posts and the general support I already provide and couldn't do without Patreon.

I also have a cool project in mind for those of you who are interested in the history of scifi gaming but Ill talk more about that later.

In a practical, book-keeping kind of way, the following changes:

*I will start putting tags on posts. It will be a bit of work to tag old posts, but at least for new content it'll make it easier to find what you are after. So if you don't care about the history stuff (or ONLY care about that), you can use the tags to find things, at least once its all set up.

*The Patreon is now set to charge up front when you sign up. This should only affect new subscribers.

* There is also an option now to pay up front for a year. You get 10% off by doing that so instead of 60 dollars, you'd pay 54. This is kind of an experiment but Patreon suggests to offer it, so I figured why not try it?

The one thing I removed was the promise of discount codes. I never really liked using that as a reward because it always feels like being lazy. This doesn't mean I won't give away codes now and again, it just means I am not going to use that as one of the items I have committed to, though I reserve the right to do so if we have a death in the family or something else

* * * * *

I hope all of these things make sense and I want to thank you all for supporting independent gaming.
