Jenny is nearly an absolutist about never saying any term or phrase which anyone may find (or have found) hurtful or harmful, regardless of intent, context, culture, or usage. As such, I strongly doubt she'd want to discuss FiW any more than she already has in the Brony video, regardless of how much genius is in there.

One topic I would really like to see is a discussion of Friendship is Witchcraft. I disagree with Jenny about how the episodes are cringe inducing. The first time I watched them I literally had no idea what MLP even was. The more I understood what her and Griffon (I think that is his name) had done the more impressed I was. I think those episodes are genius. And the little songs are amazing. Anyway, have a good and safe Thanksgiving everyone.

In celebration of the topic's recent surge in the polls, here's some insider knowledge for y'all: If "On Horse Girls and Horse Girl Energy" had failed this month, it would have been resubmitted for the December ramble voting as "All I Want for Christmas is Horse Girl Discourse" and in January as "On Horse Girls and Horse Girl Energy (Fluttershy + Manticore = Rey + Space Snake)".

So, if a previous topic (that hasn't won yet) isn't on here it either means it hasn't been suggested again or Jenny just doesn't want to do it, is what I'm gathering from other comments. I feel simultaneously bereft and also a little bit hopeful, because this could mean that the person who kept suggesting that Jenny write "Trapped in a Dark Ride with Jenny Nicholson" either 1) gave up or 2) got so tired of waiting that they decided to write it themselves. Maybe both?? Honestly disappointed if it's the former, but if it's the latter then I'll be on standby at Ao3.

I don't think she's ever mentioned it. I think it would make a good ramble because Jenny has a very screen-writerly perspective on movies, and Lady Bird is written in a very unusual and unique way. Also it's the anti-dote to a lot of the tropes she's griped about in various videos, especially in terms of how it portrays women.

This list is an embarrassment of riches. A Thanksgiving movie list would be interesting. Not with Thanksgiving as a theme but a list of movies a diverse group of family members might watch together. A fun thought experiment. Also Gremlins 2 is an Independence Day movie, Gremlins “the first” is the Christmas movie. Thoughts as a child should be thoughts OF a child and Jenny puts on a suit and grills toddlers about popular media and current events.
