Happy halloween month!
Here are the video concepts-in-progress I mentioned:
- Addison Cain’s omegaverse reading
- Halloween tv movie ranking
- Marvel video which isn't topical at all but I found completely notated in my folder from like a year ago and I guess just never made
- Knott's Berry Farm theme park content
- Another reality series vid but this one is spooky
- Avatar content lol
Would like to hear which ones are most of interest!
Oh my god, while I've never seen "Grandpa's Magical Toys", it has kinda featured on a few episodes of RedLetterMedia's Wheel of the Worst!

Shockingly, I've seen all of these except Nick and Noel. My siblings LOVED Wee Sing in Sillyville, and I remember really liking the art in the Serendipity books. I recently went down a rabbit hole trying to remember a weird nightmare fuel kid's movie I saw on PBS when I was little and found out it was called The Talking Parcel. It's totally on youtube (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=SHdxHjl5lTw over here if anyone's interested), but I have yet to meet anyone else who remembers it.

Seeing the clips / description of We Sing for Sillyville was so weird. When you described the wrapping the multicolor bandage something stirred in my brain and when you showed clips it showed me something that I have never been able to recall what it was from but occasionally wished I did. I later ran into most of those songs when I went to summer camp.

Canadian here, I just wanted to chime in (Multiple years later) to confirm that Basil is, in fact, a polar bear. He was usually paired up with Louis the Otter, the other major Canadian Sesame Street Muppet who pops up briefly in the intro for Basil Hears a Noise Jenny showed in the video.

There was a claymation Christmas movie that my mum got a DVD of for free with a magazine that I watched so much as a kid called Holidaze The Christmas That Almost Didn't Happen. It's from 2006 and it's about Rudolph's little brother, and a kid who doesn't believe in Santa, and they have to go on a quest to update the north pole's operating system so that christmas can happen. It was full of product placement for everything from campbell's soup to Ask dot com, there was this queer-coded "starving actor working as a mall santa" character, there was "holiday icons anonymous" in a church basement, a running gag where the turkey character from that group keeps being the subject of murder attempts by a chef, what the hell even was this movie

I don't know how obscure these all are, but as a kid in Canada I remember watching Toad Patrol and sometimes the Silverwing cartoon (which was based on some books I also really liked).
When I was really young, I remember going to my grandma's house and watching a movie called "Milo and Otis" about a cat and dog getting lost and having a big adventure. Probably had some animal cruelty upon reflection.)
Two movies I remember liking a lot that feel kind of on the borderline of this (but I've never figured out how popular they were) are Bartok the Magnificent (Don Bluth's Anastasia sequel) and the Alice in Wonderland '99 TV movie (which I feel can't be TOO obscure since Whoopi Goldberg, Ben Kingsley, and Gene Wilder, among quite a few other well-known actors were in it). As a long-time fan of the book, I remember liking that version of Alice in Wonderland the best out of all adaptations, but I don't remember if either of those movies hold up or not.

Oh my gosh, I LOVED the Serendipity books! They had an extra aura of mystique for me because my elementary school library had like, 40 of them, but they were in their own special basket instead of on the shelf and you were NOT allowed to check them out. You could only read them in the library, so I used to very quickly get my book to check out and then sit in the corner and read Serendipity books until it was time to leave.

Oh gosh, I remember The Wizard of Speed and Time! It was on New Zealand television sometime around the mid-90's (in a sort of midday school holiday slot), and I sadly caught only about the last half hour of it. I distinctly remember the main character running down a highway at speed (sort of like the Flash).
I don't think it was ever on tv here after that, but I've always wanted to see the whole thing. I see someone has uploaded it to YouTube with the director's permission; I'll have to get around to watching it.
Thank you for reminding me of this movie!

2020-12-08 20:57:00 +0000 UTC
My mystery movie was called The Wizard of Speed and Time. It's an extremely special effects-heavy live action film from the mid-80s created primarily by one guy, who stars in the movie as himself as a guy making a movie. His real producer played the evil producer in the story, and in real life ends up stealing the almost-finished film and selling it to multiple distributors at the same time.
So that means that I found it on VHS at my local video store, rented it often, loved it, and also found that I could borrow it from my local library, but they were DIFFERENT CUTS of the movie! This was before DVD and director's cuts being a thing, and also I was maybe 8 or 9, so it was baffling. I'd want to show some uninterested relative a cool scene that was coming up and it just wouldn't be there and I'd seem insane.
Also, to take a shot at tying it into something anyone here will care about, the filmmaker, Mike Jittlov, created a short film that was part of the first program to air on the Disney Channel, called Mickey Mania: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9jDhksBLK3c

I think a lot of people have probably seen it, but there was this weird dinosaur claymation from the 80s. It was Call Dinosaurs!: A Fun Filled Trip Back in Time. I first saw it at a lock in at my local museum for like a boyscout trip or something. I fell in love with it. I was completely obsessed with it for a few years, but they never showed it at the museum again, even when they had the cool dinosaur animatronics exhibits. I asked all my friend about it and no one remembered. A few years later I was close to being too cool for dinosaurs when my mom found a VHS copy. I spent the entire summer watching it at least twice a day.

This reminds me of my own somewhat obscure childhood show, Marchen Awakens Romance (MAR). Basically your run-of-the-mill ‘transported to another world’ show, but with a bunch of anime tropes for boys. Pretty sure the only reason it landed on cartoon network was because the protag had spiky blond hair. But anyways, the first people the main character encounters in the fantasy world are talking rocks.
And it just so happens to have a great earworm theme song, specifically the original Japanese one. I loved the American theme as a kid, but now I realize it’s just generic rock to help it fit in with the whole ‘Toonami cool guy’ aesthetic.

I'm pretty sure I found the show I mentioned above! It was a mid 80's BBC tv movie called The Galactic Garden:
https://www.imdb.com/title/tt0395550/
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/The_Galactic_Garden
The plot summary on IMDB is as follows:
"A pair of space travellers arrive on Earth to study the planet's lifeforms, landing in an English garden. However, on Earth they are about three quarters of an inch tall and therefore find themselves encountering its natural and giant indigenous life, such as worms, spiders, goldfish and a tortoise."
I could have sworn there was a family involved, so I guess child me remembered something wrongly! This movie must be extremely obscure as I can't find any trace of it on YouTube. The best I could find visually was a screencap showing the vegetable ship:
https://www.paulcornell.com/wp-content/uploads/hqdefault-1-1.jpg
Anyway, I'm glad to have that monkey off my back! I wasn't hallucinating all those years ago...

I remember when I was quite young in the late 80's watching about 5-10 minutes of a children's sci-fi show about a family that lived inside of a vegetable spaceship. These people were vegetable height, and the spaceship was a sort of cucumber or something similar. They travelled around an Edwardian (at least in hindsight it feels this way) garden in this ship doing god knows what; I didn't watch enough to absorb much of the plot. It felt very British (kids' tv in NZ at that time was pretty 50/50 American or UK in origin), and as I recall it had very 80's Doctor Who level effects, so I imagine it would look awful now.
I must have gone outside to play after about 10 mins and never saw any of it again, but the weird imagery kind of stuck in my head all these years. No one I've ever mentioned this to has ever had any memory of this show at all! About 15 years ago I web searched a bunch of obscure tv/film stuff from childhood, and this was just about the only thing I could never find any info about.
Inspired by this topic, I think I'll try searching for it again later today.
Sorry to hear about the Twitter issues. Just remember there are many more genuine fans of yours than nitpicking fools. The fools just tend to walk around with megaphones.

There's a large number of modernized Little Red Riding Hoods, but with some more information I believe I can find out what movie this is. First of all, how old are you, ie what year was it when you were 10 years old? Secondly, what kind of accents did people have? British? American? Thirdly, was it live action or animated? Lastly, was it in black and white?

I'm so sorry and sad you're feeling stressed :( I'm sure that even if the number of people being ultra critical is a tiny percentage, it can still feel overwhelming. Hopefully you can take some small amount of comfort in the fact that the vast majority of your viewers really love what you do and aren't analyzing every word you say for some perceived transgression. As for your next video, your humor and intelligence make every video you put out super entertaining, so I would honestly just vote for whatever is the most exciting for you personally. Maybe eventually you'll feel comfortable enough to release the almost-completed video too. Bottom line: take care of yourself, whatever that entails.

I really love "Jenny reads a terrible novel," they're great to cook to, but I worry Addison Cain is... litigious. Knott's Berry Farm is something I'm only vaguely aware of and very much want to hear a theme park expert describe to me. I'm sorry Twitter jerks have been so fierce lately, you don't deserve that.

Very on board for Halloween TV Movie rankings, Knotts Berry Farm and Reality Series (But Spooky)
Also just wanted to say I loved this ramble! Even though I don't know any of these things, there's something so universal and cool about discovering something half-remembered from your childhood on YouTube.
A strong one for me was this sketch from Sesame Street where Ernie is teaching his niece Ernie to say his name but she only responds with baby-gibberish and throwing blocks which to me was the funniest thing I'd ever seen at 5 years old. Thanks anonymous YouTtube person! https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=CRMXH4UM-Yo&ab_channel=I%27mThisGuy

Hey Jenny, I don't know if you look at the comments on these ever, but my heart hurt seeing you so stressed out. I know I'm just a random dude, but I just wanted to say that your videos bring me a lot of joy, and I look forward to every new one you post. My wife, who isn't a person who watches YouTube really, regularly rewatches the video where you rank all of your porgs. My life is better for having your voice in it. I hope this wasn't weird in the way that strangers complimenting you on the internet can be, but I just know how terrible undue stress and anxiety can be, and I hope you feel better soon.

Looking up clips of Wee Sing for Sillyville gave me a powerfully vivid memory of sitting on the floor with with my sisters watching this in the basement of my childhood home. I haven't thought about that movie for more than 20 years.

I am CONVINCED I watched a show as a tiny tiny child that starred a pink fuzzy monster and a blue fuzzy monster. my mom swears it didn't exist, she even swore it back when i was a kid. One day I asked her what the name of the show with the monsters was and she had no idea what show I meant, even though I swore I'd watched it the day before.

Reality series and Avatar Content. Also I'm sorry you've been having a tough time on Twitter. Twitter sucks when it's people trying to play a game of who is more woke which results in people not looking at tweets in good faith and/or adding a context to a tweet that did not exist before. This ramble video made me smile <3

Twitter is notoriously toxic, if it becomes to much sometimes feel free to just quit it for a while and come back to it when you feel comfortable.
Nowadays I use Twitter for a select few people and I limit my use to at most ten minutes per day. Twitter really isn’t a toxic environment that you have to deal with if you don’t want to.

Serendipity the Pink Dinosaur was technically my first anime. Also found through a video rental. Also shocked to learn Pila Pila is a girl.
Years later I found a serendipity book in my old stuff. It was “Gabby.” Gabby is cool in her own right. But I’m hearing there’s all these cool, mystical creature books. And we had GABBY.
Sillyville was the only Wee Sing tape we owned, so my siblings and I watched it many times. But we did rent other ones. I’m curious about how the ocean one holds up.

This reminded me of a movie called Dinosaur Island I used to watch at my daycare when I was like 2-3. I just watched the whole thing on youtube and god it was so bad, but I loved it as a little kid. It reeks of early 2000's straight to VHS energy. No spoilers, but there's no island!
Dahlia
2020-10-05 04:37:11 +0000 UTC
I watched Serendipity all the time at my grandma's house when I was little! It was so much fun watching you find it, as I had mostly forgotten it. But all of the lyrics to the theme song are still in my brain, turns out. And it will never not be funny to me that the music is by a band named BULLETS. This whole video was just a delight.
I'd go for either of the Halloween/spooky video options, but the Addison Cain one would also be amazing.

I'm torn between wanting the Omegaverse reading and the Avatar content. I think I actually want the Omegaverse one a bit more, but I know the author's giving Lindsay Ellis very serious legal trouble and very intense, um, bitching about Lindsey's vid on the topic? If you are feeling stressed and anxious due to the online environment right now, I worry the omegaverse video might bring Addison Cain down on you, too and make life harder for you.

I don't think there's any way I can prove this but my old guy brain thinks that my younger sister had a Serendipity plush. It didn't ring any bells until the anime came up and the pink dragon with front flippers... I'm sure my sister had that plush. I'm going to have to dive into family storage to see if I can find it now.

I had the creepiest serendipity book about a squirrel who had a neighbor that wanted to trade berries for some of the squirrels fur. So she gave him some but then every time the neighbor saw the squirrel he wanted to trade again and she started feeling more and more bad about it. It was really uncomfortable to read as a kid, but I guess it was trying to teach the lesson of the importance of saying no when you don't want to do something and not letting other people take advantage.

I'm guessing it'll be more along the lines of the Opposite Worlds one (and if anyone hasn't seen the Opposite Worlds one I highly recommend the Opposite Worlds one). Opposite Worlds!
(The vid is actually titled The Worst Reality Show of All Time - Jenny's expression in the thumbnail is a very good introduction to what you're letting yourself in for...)
edit Oh! And there's also The Worst Ghost Hunting Show of All Time of course; how could I forget. Similar deal, vidwise! (Following my edit I am now ... comfortable ... with this comment.)

I remember Serendipity! We had a bunch of those books in my house when my sister and I were kids back in the '80s. I had no idea there was an anime special, though. Anyway, I don't know if this means much, given that this is Patreon where we're all naturally biased toward you, but I hope whatever video you cancelled isn't dead forever. Your videos bring a lot of joy to a lot of people, regardless of what some haters on Twitter might say.

Spooky reality TV show or Halloween TV movie, as goes with theme but only you of all youtubers would do, and do well. Save Knott’s Berry Farm for spring. Also don’t let social media comments affect your peace of mind, be considerate of what you would say online would not offend most people in real life, but you can never not offend someone online, and sad to say but we have to live with that now.

I grew up with Wee Sing and had both the Sillyville and Grandpa's Magical Toys ones you mentioned. But I also had Big Rock Candy Mountain which apparently was a favorite of mine as a toddler. This brought up a bunch of memories.
But, when you talked about the Sesame Street one I remembered something from my nightmares as a kid. I had a reoccurring nightmare with Big Bird and Snuffaluffagus in Egypt helping me die and weighting my heart against a feather. It was very traumatizing and I finally found out today that that nightmare comes from a Sesame Street special VHS with that exact plot. Apparently it's called "Don't Eat the Pictures: Sesame Street at the Metropolitan Museum of Art" and one section is some Egyptian prince in this museum who is cursed to live forever or something.

Oh my god I recognize the Serendipity anime dragon. Only the intro seemed familiar but I think I saw an ad for it played before some other anime. The only obscure children's TV I truly remember are Christmas specials. The Pokey Little Puppy one has a lot of earworms that my siblings and I sing to each other regardless of season.
I'm sorry you're dealing with Twitter harassment. :( I wish there were a way to actually stop shit like that. People are the worst.
I love all of those ideas, but I think the Halloween ones are a particularly good fit for spooky month!

So as someone who grew up in Southern California, I'm gonna have to toss my hat in the ring for the Knott's Berry Farm video! I've only ever been there once when I was maybe 5 or 6 years old, so I have only the most vague memories of the place. Coming from a family of theme park enthusiasts myself you'd think that we would have gone there more, but our normal destination was (and still is) almost always Disneyland for our family vacations. I don't know a ton about Knott's aside from a few facts like that it's decades older than Disneyland, so hearing you talk at length about your experiences there, or the history of it, and the attractions and all that would be really incredible I think! 🙂

Oh man, my childhood weird media no one remembers are: a low-budget live action retelling of fairy tales on PBS, only a little sassy? This was in the 80s or early 90s. Another one was, PBS used to do bumpers between shows where they played short videos that were student films from the local colleges. And there was one called "Everything You Need to Know about Opera", that had that style of animation that's cut-out stop-motion animation figures, and it just ran through the plot of a couple well-known operas, like Siegfried, to show how crazy they were. I remember it had a death counter in the upper corner.
By happenstance I recorded it on video tape and I rewatched it a LOT, but later lost track of which tape it was on and never saw it again.

I had the we sing cassette tapes and I had no idea it was also a show! It makes sense to me now because I always thought it was strange that it was set up like a tv show but i only had audio. Definitely have felt anxiety over things tweeted in good faith being disparaged. The fact that you genuinely care is a testament to your character. That said, try not to let it get you down! Maybe consider bringing someone on to help manage comments like Lindsay did? Whatever you feel works best for your mental health.
All of these topics sound great; I'd be most excited for Halloween movies. We need as much spooky content as we can get to make up for the lack of traditional festivities this year.

Thank you for taking the time to correct my
misconceptions about deconstruction,
particularly the fine distinctions between
detecting subconscious evil in a given work
(even if unstated)
vs. detecting systemic evil in a given work
(even if unstated).
I still think that because deconstruction
begins with a *presumption* of evil
-- the only challenge is in identifying
*how* a given evil is reflected in the text --
it has created a discourse style
where accusation is heroic,
intention is irrelevant,
and causation is inferred --
leading to people who mistakenly think
saying mean things always
equals speaking truth to power.

Hey Jenny, so sorry to hear about the nonsense you're dealing with on Twitter; it seems like it's really taken a toll on you. It can be such a toxic environment, and I hope things have gotten or will get better for you. It's hard to think Twitter is even worth it anymore, but that's easy for me to say from my position, since social media is probably a necessity for you as part of how you make your living. Wishing you all the best, and I know I speak for everyone in saying that we support you and want you to be happy and healthy most of all.
As for upcoming videos, I vote for Halloween tv movies, Knots Berry farm, and the spooky reality series! Take care :)

It's not so much that works of art evil and have evil intentions, it's that works of art are produced in the context of historical evils. and those evils are reflected in them.

2020-10-01 20:01:06 +0000 UTC
Well for one thing, deconstruction explicitly de-emphasizes looking for the meaning of a work in the intentions of its author. It's one of the main features. So in that regard, it's not fair to view the application of deconstruction to a work as being in any way malicious towards its author. As for being malicious or unfair to the work itself, I think this quote from Anita Sarkessian sums it up: "It's both possible, and even necessary, to simultaneously enjoy media while also being critical of its more problematic or pernicious aspects."
Jerry Nicholson

J jamerson
2020-10-01 19:52:46 +0000 UTC
Is it?
I've never seen a deconstruction that spoke well
of the subject matter, and I've never seen
any pushback against a deconstruction
for being malicious or unfair.
It might be more fair to say that
students were praised
for inferring the intentions or implications
of historical texts,
but if they are taught to view everything
through a lens of oppression
and power imbalances,
won't that necessarily result
in negative interpretations?

Like I'm not religious and my family isn't super religious but my mother would take us to church with her and while we were children they had a little like, library room? It had books and a huge collection of weird religious children's VHS tapes, so I'm like "huh I remember this story about this dog what was that?" I experience this but with childhood computer games! One day I googled them all, found out their names, and made a YouTube playlist. Reader Rabbit castle and camp games, Midtown Madness, Jumpstart Kindergarten, Math Blaster, Reading Blaster, Jumpstart Artist, Magic School Bus human body & dinosaur games, Crayola 3D Castle Creator, Thinkin' Things, Timez Attack, Star Wars Podracer. Playing computer games on my dad's gonzo work computer with a joystick... those were some days huh

I'm among those who will watch any video you make, but I understand that's not exactly helpful: the ones I'm personally most interested in are
> Hallowe'en TV Ranking
> Spooky Reality TV [I was personally never into reality TV, but I love hearing about it]
> Omegaverse Reading [though how much of it you'll be able to get away with reading may leave you with 10 seconds of content, if how much of Kat's voiceover had to be bleeped in Lindsay's video is any indication lmao]

would be super happy with any of these, all great ideas! Also, sorry that you have been having a rough time on twitter :( your content is great and people sometimes forget that creators are people too and I'm sorry about that. It must be a lot to deal with sometimes. But anyways, I'm excited to see your new content, an omegaverse reading/knotts berry farm vid would be super cool, ive been to the Mystery Lodge and i would love to hear more about it.

Wee Sing in Sillyville was the best!! My sister and I reference it all the time, especially the "red" family for some reason. "Another reality series vid but this one is spooky" is my pick! I love that video about, i can't even remember the name of the show. The Future vs Past show with the minotaur lol.

I think bad-faith-uncharitable interpretations
were normalized in academia as "deconstruction,"
where students were praised for hallucinating
invisible evil intentions
in the writings of historical authors,
so everyone got to feel heroic*
for lynching the dead.

In the 90s I used to watch The Children's Channel. None of my childhood friends or anyone I know have ever heard of it. There were many obscure British, US, Canadian and Australian shows like Girl from Tomorrow, Ready or Not and Swans Crossing. These can be found on Youtube and streaming services today. There was also Molly, a miniseries about a girl who travels through Europe, which has been lost to time. Someone uploaded episode 3 to Youtube but it's dubbed in German and not available for purchase anywhere. There was an American show that I can't find anymore about some teens at a boarding school for basketball players. I also remember cartoons like Dogtanian and Button Moon, which I didn't care for, but the opening songs were earworms.
Anyway, please don't do a video about omegaverse. All the other topics sound great! :D

2020-10-01 16:42:53 +0000 UTC
This video got my nostalgia gears spinning. Does anyone remember Ziggy's Gift? It's a Ziggy Christmas Special where Ziggy tries to be a Santa and goes on a Christmas adventure. I don't know how obscure it is, but it hasn't seemed to really find a foothold as a Christmas classic. I just thought about it for the first time since I watched it as a child. It's also on Youtube, so I'm happy about that.
Anyway, I would love to see another spooky reality tv series review. The Addison Cain reading would also be fun. And I'm waiting for your channel to just be dedicated to Avatar content. If I don't stop myself I'm just gonna say that I want to see everything you've listed.

The results of your white-balancing look great. The next step is to find out if there's a polarizing filter that will attach to the lens of whatever camera you're using to get rid of the light reflecting off your glasses. Or you could just start wearing contact lenses again, but that would make my profile pic a lot less funny so obviously I'm against that.

There's this phenomenon on Twitter where intentionally misinterpreting someone uncharitably is rewarded with retweets and likes. And because you've been seeing an uptick in popularity, that makes you a target for that kind of bad-faith attack.
I hope that paid supporters can save you from becoming another YouTube algorithm casualty (i.e. only making content that the algorithm rewards you for making). Trust that your paid supporters are here for whatever obscure stuff you want to cover, because it's your brand of wit and criticism that we enjoy.

I never saw Basil Hears a Noise but I vividly remember Basil himself! His whole schtick was he would share segments with Louis - Louis only speaks French and Basil is trying to learn it. Very relatable.
Also, according to Japanese wikipedia, Serendipity was supposed to get a theatrical film! But that got cancelled (can't find why) and they made a 26 episode tv series that aired in 1983. The English dubbed movie you had seems to be the only bit that got released in English at all.

Theme parks are always very good, but spooky reality tv is also tempting.

Ooo - is the spooky TV show the one with the thing? The thingy one set in a wotsit? A school, was it? No, that's not right - a university? Penn State! That was it!! Paranormal State!?!
*ahem* Er, 'cos if that is right then that sounded bonkers. 👻🏫🎃 And even if it isn't, as usual all the possibilities sound great - although if we're avoiding drama for the moment (re which: strongly In Favour Of) then maybe the reading could wait a little while.
So I guess I'd rank them all joint-first apart from the first which is sixth. Er? Yes. Yes I think that's right 👍

i'm from southern california so a knott's berry farm vid would be nice and nostalgic for me. i'm also interested in spooky reality. imo the twitter folks consider you a worthy target because you're privileged but also within reach of their bullying so they get the rush of feeling self-righteous and morally superior when they tear you down, as if they're making a positive difference in the world... it's deeply pathetic.

I'm down for the spooky reality show! Great timing for it :)
And thanks, you've prompted me to look up my most obscure 90's kids film, The Seventh Brother. It's about a puppy that gets accepted into a family of rabbits and saves them from increasingly horrifying situations. I remember vividly that some lady just rang the doorbell and gave it to my parents for free.... Not a very promising beginning, but it was a direct-to-video release so I guess some mystery was to be expected.

This inspired me to look up an animated movie I vaguely remember owning in my childhood and found out that it was a 24 min short called Faeries from 1981. I was born in 1993 so I'm not even sure where that came from, but the whole thing is on Youtube and brought up much nostalgia.

Really hard to narrow down the choices. The only one I'm not super keen on is the Omegaverse reading but I imagine it'd get beaucoup views so it's probably still a good idea.
I think *I'd* be most interested in the Knott's Berry one (not the Knotting Berries one). But it'd probably get the least amount of views of those options.

I love the idea of a Marvel-related video that's timed completely wrong, even though I don't care much for the Marvel movies, that sounds like it could be really funny.

I’m down with anything that can be described as spooky, so either the Halloween TV movies or the spooky reality show would be my picks!
ALSO, I grew up on Sillyville and Nick and Noel. I had the Noel plush as well, and my brother had Nick. And when you were describing the Serendipity books, I suddenly remembered this picture book I had as a kid about a flying horse named Flutterby. I looked it up and, sure enough, it was a Serendipity book!

Really fun and relatable to watch the joy of rediscovering semi-remembered obscurities from your childhood :) As far as the video concepts, you’d mentioned that you wanted to get the timing right for the Knott’s Berry Farm one until people can go and check it out for themselves so I figure that one can marinate for a bit. Same with Marvel and Avatar.
I loved Lindsay Ellis’ Omegaverse video and would be very interested on your perspective on the topic and/or experience with the making of the video though I wonder if it would be too far off brand for this channel given the content? Though I personally don’t have an issue with you doing whatever you want on your channel, you do you :) Not to mention that it’s a righteous cause to fight the good fight against bad faith lawsuit bullies—though that’s its own can of worms and while I’m sure you’d have plenty of support should she decide to target you I wouldn’t want you to have to deal with anything you don’t want to.
The obvious choices for timeliness are the Halloween TV movie ranking and the spooky reality series, both of which I’d very much enjoy watching but I lean towards the spooky reality series if I have to make a choice between the two.
