I watched that show before knowing Carrie was a musician, it was crazy to learn post but made a lot of sense based on a lot of the writing in that show. I was pleasantly surprised with the vibe of this album, I would have taken them more for lighter indie rock just based on the name of the band but dig the more punk edge. Excited to listen along before the next ep being a new soob to the patreon!

It should have been right up my alley but it really didn’t do much for me. Carrie Brownstein’s vocals poked my ears in a not-fun way. They were too clear and sharp compared to the rest of the song. I dug her and Corin Tucker harmonizing, though! Words and Guitar and Little Babies were my favorite tracks. On the other hand, I was hyper-fixated on Space Oddity when I was 16 so it takes me back every time I listen now.

When I was in college in 2010 I did what Shawn is doing. I randomly jumped through the Stones 500 and Pitchforks best albums of every year, and I found a lot of stuff that I still love. It's fun that Shawns doing this.
