Mega64 Record Club Ep. 6 - Diana Ross and The Supremes - Anthology (#452)
Added 2023-04-06 17:52:25 +0000 UTCThe sixth episode of Shawn's Record Club show is here with returning special guest and Motown super fan Jennie Chatfield! He's jumping to a random album in the "500 Greatest Albums Of All Time" book that Rolling Stone put together. Today he's landed on the incredibly long #452 Diana Ross and The Supremes - Anthology

2023-04-06 21:44:21 +0000 UTCGreat to see Jennie back so soon! I also donโt like that theyโre doing anthologies/greatest hits on this list, it feels like cheating. But yeah this one had a lotta hits but just was way too long and had a bit of a weak second half. 2.5/5 and my fav songs were The Tears, Stop in the name of love, canโt hurry love, and If a girl isnโt pretty. Also Toto Africa is a good song but goddamn I am forever sick of it lmao, 2.5/5 also.

2023-04-06 18:35:17 +0000 UTCWhat year is this list from, again? If I can get Excel lists of the 500 lists that Shawn's looking at, I'd be interested in programming a randomizer that would output the Album and Song specifically from the pool of ones that haven't been selected yet. [Edit: Never mind! Looks like Shawn's got a kickass new randomizer system. I'm also glad he's rectifying the skipped randomizer from last week, hell yeah!]

2023-04-06 18:29:13 +0000 UTCAs others have stated; Jennie was a great guest on the Elvis episode and I also love Motown, so this should be another terrific episode!
