Devlog #12 Mirielle, the Shadow Cat

So, as I mentioned earlier, Lani's story is largely focused around the Adventure Guild, her parents, and the situations that led her to be adopted by the player's family. To that end, I've decided to go ahead and introduce another adventurer into the main storyline - Mirielle.
Mirielle is a world-renowned scout, and has a history with both Lani's parents as well as the Liam's mother and father. She will act as a bridge from the town-content into the greater adventuring storyline as a whole and also explain a lot of societal and magical details that are as yet unexplained in the story.
Some of Mirielle backstory: Orphaned due to war, she was raised by an adventure party, eventually moving from a porter position into a full-fledged member of the group. After a long history of questing, she retired from active duty and founded a school meant to teach orphans how to be proper members of society. Eventually, that school grew to great renown, now known throughout the kingdoms as a place that produces very skilled individuals both as adventurers and otherwise. She was contacted by the local guild when Liam and Lani came to Martin's attention.
The rest of the work I'm currently doing is likely exactly what you expect: I'm fixing bugs, adding some quality of life features, expanding the skill system (I expect that player battle skills will be added into this coming release), and working on additional renders for Lani.
