Chapter Update (Chapter 137 Spoilers)

Chapter 137 has undergone a few edits/modifications based on feedback. I'm hoping to have reached a nice middle ground when it comes to that chapter.
The adjustments only touch on one section at the very end, and they're important enough that I recommend giving them at least a glance, but I'll also include a note at the end of Tuesday's chapter just in case.
Starting with Typhlosion's return in the battle, that section alongside the conversation afterward has been changed to result in a slightly different outcome. Control-F for "What is she..." should get you to the start of the section that's changed.
Without getting into specifics, this also means that I've pushed up a certain reveal, but I hope it reads a lot better than the version released before.

Despite Gen II introducing the Steel Type, Jasmine's Gym Battle only saw her use Magnemite and Steelix. I wanted to expand her team to include other Gen II Steel Types, so that's why Scizor and Forretress appeared. Skarmory was never sent out, but that was her fifth.

2025-02-08 17:52:46 +0000 UTCJust read the chapter and I approve. Sam demonstrated a much better battle in comparison with the first draft. The first draft depicted him as having no chance of winning. His strategies failed to overcome the gap between power. The second draft showed me that there was a possibility of victory for Sam. Primeape should have stayed in against Magneton and might’ve taken a chunk of Forretress before going down. BTW what was Jasmine’s fifth Pokémon? Skarmory might be the most obvious option, although the callback to Sinnoh would have been grounds for Lucario. Mawile would’ve been a nice cameo for an Alex vs Sam battle. But my favorite in this scenario would definitely be Aegislash.
