Cover Poll
Added 2024-05-17 02:04:13 +0000 UTCNormally I'm really dialed in on covers, but I'm really torn on these two options. So ... thoughts?

This is all very good and helpful. Thanks.

2024-05-17 03:00:54 +0000 UTCOne final comment and I will let this go. The ages of the couple in the B cover appear to be 5 to 10 years older than the children/young teens on the A cover. Don't know what demographic you were aiming for but it's the age difference as well as the "stand and fight" attitude that makes the B cover more interesting to me. Now I'm done. :-)

2024-05-17 02:59:03 +0000 UTCI like A because it reminds me of the Hardy boys for some reason.

2024-05-17 02:54:34 +0000 UTCI agree with your comment. Yet, this is the "first impression" book cover for an entire series where you are going to have the characters grow in power over time (I assume). I don't know the statistics for the percentage of people who decide on selecting a book or who decide to delve deeper, read the synopsis and buy - just from looking at the cover. If it's very low, then I guess it doesn't matter very much. Just me personally, the B cover would make me more interested in reading the book and thus getting hooked on the series.

2024-05-17 02:49:13 +0000 UTCI mean, for most of book 1, A is closer to what is happening. People who've read Threads through the first 4ish chapters should kind of recognize what's happening.

2024-05-17 02:29:01 +0000 UTCInteresting there is clear consensus. Wonder if other people agree with me or if they have a different reason for chosing Cover B. In my opinion, Cover B implies two resourceful people facing their fears (and perhaps their destiny). Cover A implies the people are out of their depth and running away because they can't overcome whatever is chasing them. So, Travis it depends on how you want us to feel about the main characters.
