Main Dish: It is kind of ironic that the one song where they mentioned the producers is the “Leftover Team.” But you can't even really call them that because this team is stacked. As someone that really likes both Hengyu and Kangmin this was very hard to watch for the first time. I definitely am on Hengyu's side, tho. I do also don't want to be too harsh on Kangmin, this show really makes almost everyone go through so much, but that, of course, does not justify what he said. Also, I do get the comparison with Junmin's situation, but I don't think we can compare it to this 100% because they were at such different stages in practice. Cause with Like Jennie, it was one of the first evaluations in the practice, and for Main Dish, it was the rehearsal, so I assume it was like one day before the actual performance. I do think that the masters would have acted differently if this was Junmin (or someone else), but ig this really is just speculation. It definitely was fucked up either way. I also hate it so much that we did not get any solution to this situation in this episode. Mnet really just left us hanging after it. It took me a bit, but I can fully enjoy this performance now. Which is great because it is really good. It is a bit hard to comment on the performances because everyone did really well and everything else is just personal preference. Kangmin was my overall favorite, but I also really liked Zihao and Kaiwen. Hengyu did well, especially considering everything that happened. Chingyu and Junseo did also well, but they just didn't really catch me as much as the others. Chains: I really did not think that I would like this song after hearing the demo, but I love it, lul. But yeah, some of their outfits could have been a little better. I love Jiahao, Sangwon and Leo is this, they all did so good and Leo's voice fits so well with the song. Anxin actually was probably my least favorite in this performance, he just seemed a bit out of place for me. His voice is great, tho. I think this show actually made him lose confidence, but not really blaming him for that. I hope he regains it after he debuts and I'm pretty sure he will. I do think he did better in the Mcountdown stage. I think that Geonwoo did really well. I actually recently discovered for myself that I really like Leejeong for some reason, lul. He did well in this but also did not really stick out too much. I think you just have to get used to his lines, but he probably also just should not be a rapper, haha. It was way better than “Hot,” though. Also, I forgot to mention this in my last comment, but I would have loved to see Liyu in Chains. I would be very interested to see if he could pull it off. I am very pleasantly surprised how much I like all the original songs in this season. Mostly considering how Over Me was the only song I liked in S1. I did enjoy all the performances, but yeah, the songs not very much. I'm very happy that Chains won. Don't really get how Main Dish got last but it is what it is. I probably should not question the on-site votings, cause I will not get an answer that makes sense. Looking forward to your reaction to the next episode as always :)

Main Dish - 2nd favourite About the conflict, when I first watched the episode I was very annoyed about how the judges and Kangmin handled this situation, but now i’ve rewatched it, I feel a bit more calm on it. Firstly, i’m not mad at Kangmin, i’m annoyed at the judges, what they said wasn’t helpful at all considering what they just saw & is so obviously biased, when Jumin lost his confidence he got a hug & an angel edit, while Hengyu got ridiculed. Kangmin’s fault was his timing, he is 100% in the wrong for that, though I do get why he said it as he was also under a lot of stress & i’m sure we didn’t get to see the whole picture since this is mnet we are talking about, especially cus (not to try & spoil) they were being very comforting to each other when Hengyu got eliminated. Anyway on to the performance, I watched this A LOT & Kangmin was definitely pushed, like they wasted none of his screen time in the centre. Kaiwen was my personal favourite but then again i’m biased, his rapping caught all the Korean unnies attention after this & i’m so happy about it. I don’t have much to say Junseo & Chingyu but they did so good & I really liked Junseo’s tone in his parts. Zihao was again really good, but I just don’t have anything to say. Hengyu also did very good & wasn’t so far behind as they made it out to be, I am sad that they now automatically put him to do the high notes they can’t reach because to be very objective, he’s straining it & thats the reason his voice is probably so hurt, this isn’t a bash at him, it actually makes me feel more sorry for him. But in the end, this was 100% the most balanced. 2. Chains - best (kinda obvious) Yeah this storyline also wasn’t my favourite, they really did just try and kick Sangwon while he was down, I love Jiahao & I wouldn’t have minded if he did have the killing part (although I do think it worked in his favour that he didn’t since it ended up giving him a storyline & screen time) but it was just kinda awkward to watch. What actually annoys me though is that people started hated on Sangwon after this calling him greedy as if he forced everyone to choose him for the killing part lmao. Anyway, this song was the best just in general, i’m very happy Jiahao & Sangwon swapped cus we specifically got that one hand-under-the-shirt moment, he honestly killed it. Sangwon was my favourite but just because of the dance-break alone, I was gagged. I loved Anxin’s and Leo’s vocals, I don’t get why people keep saying the top 8 has no vocalists because I personally love them. Geonwoo & Leejeong were just kinda there for me, i’m still yet to find their hype lol. My top 8 didn’t change again after this except from the fact I am a Chen Kaiwen 1-pick, he finally stole me after this episode. Again, I can’t wait until you react to the next episode, even though my top 8 lost 2 members 😔 Also, i'm writing this after I made the original comment but they did just do the final lives thing (way worse than last years but I won't rant about that) & also released a concept battle bts & Kangmin in both videos was very close with the c-trainees, Leo mentioning that he was the one that "bridged the gap between them" so at least we know that whatever happened with Hengyu wasn't because he was Chinese
