2. I should've actually added Zhang Jiahao into my lineup (probably instead on one of the kids) so just imagine that he's in there somewhere, I've really grown to like him.
Let me know your thoughts on the episode! I've now rewatched it once and I still don't really know how I feel...

He also sued his boss after getting out from there and I'm pretty sure he won that lawsuit thankfully. There as also something about his former boss trying to ruin his reputation in China, but I don't know the details of that. Idk exactly where the info came from, but I saw some pics as well and they were pretty icky for sure.

I find it really funny that you don't really like Smoke and Famous, when those are probably my fav performances from this episode, especially on rewatch. Overall I'm actually really neutral on all the other performances. Usually I have more even more thoughts on everything after a rewatch but nah. Everything was mostly just fine. I haven't watched the next episode yet, but I'm guessing we're gonna see the pre-elimination teams practicing for next round at least and I'm looking forward to that! Not so much the eliminations themselves tho ofc... hopefully at least a few of my favs stay.

2025-09-06 15:07:45 +0000 UTCLet's get straight into all of those performances: Seventeen - Run to You: I actually love this team and also this performance. Min does fit way better into a group when he sings, I wonder if he would have gotten farther if he had a singing part in the 1 vs 1 Class Battle. I feel like he would have. He definitely did the best in this performance. I'm also still really wondering why he didn't debut with KickFlip and we will probably never know why. Like did he really leave on his own or was he kicked out? I could see both things happening kinda. They did take an awful long time to finally debut. I still love Sen very much. I think if he had more confidence, he would easily be my number 1 in this show. Also, you are right, he only trained for 5 months, so ig that's probably mostly the reason why he is not that confident. We finally got some Woojin screen time, even tho it was not focused on him. I do really like his voice and him as a person, but my biggest “problem” with him is that I don't think that he would fit into the debut group. He would probably be fine if he did debut, but I just can't confidently add him to my top 8 because of it. Which is kinda funny considering that I have Haneum in my top 8 and if I think about it logical, I'm also not sure if he would fit cause we also haven't really seen him do something darker. But for him I for some reason am not too worried that he could pull it off, maybe it's just me being really biased tho. Also, I think that knetz still don't like Woojin cause he “faked his image as a country boy”, it's just stupid. Hengyu does still seem at least a bit affected by the last mission. He looked a bit awkward to me at times, but he did do good. I also thought that Hengyu would become way more popular than he is rn when I saw his first audition. It really is a shame. Dynamic Duo ft. Lee Youngji - Smoke: This is probably my least favorite performance from this round. I'm also not sure if I believe that they made it all up to get screen time, maybe only played it up a little. I think this was just two people with strong opinions, of course they would clash if it's only two of them. It is kind of funny that they even had to have a leader with only 2 people. Don't think that this is an evil edit, but I do think that it was edited in a way that made it seem way more dramatic than it actually was. I do like both of them. I'm not the biggest fan of Yechan's rap, but that's really just personal preference. He definitely did really really good in this performance. I agree that Yichen did not really fit the song, he did fine tho. Christopher - Bad: When I first saw this, I thought it was very boring. It did grow on me after a few watches. I loved Donggyu in this performance, his voice also fits really well with the song, I think. Junseo did really good but he did not really catch me. I do feel kinda sorry for him with the amount of hate he got after this episode. You absolutely can see that Masato is the weakest in this performance. He didn't do bad, he does need to work on his stage presence, tho. I do really like him still based on what we see of his personality. Eve - Tambourine: I really wish that I liked this song, so I could appreciate this performance more. I think Suren's “crashout” was valid and also really sad to see. I did really like him in this performance. No hate to Yumeki at all tho, he really seems genuinely like a really sweet person. I actually think that he has been toning down his performance a bit, so I enjoyed watching him way more in this. Kaiwen did really well, but yeah, Jiahao kinda stole the show. He definitely has the potential to get into my top 8 but I need to see just a bit more of him. Love to see him get so much love after this performance. I did not really notice Tatsuki and Hanwen in this tbh. This performance, and honestly all the others too, did have awful camera work. I also think that the stage was not the best choice because of the weird layout. H1-Key - Rose Blossom: This definitely wasn't perfect, but I kinda have a soft spot for it. I got what I wanted, Haneum definitely slayed and he finally got screen time. I really hope that the global fans now finally appreciate him. I'm starting to like Junil now, he seems really sweet. Not sure if you know, but Junil and Haneum have actually been really close since high school. Dongyun and Honghai did pretty good. Liyu did also pretty well, don't really care that his voice cracked. I do like him, but I also don't think he would really fit into the debut group. I do also believe that he would also do fine if he did tho. ADP - Famous: This is probably, personally, one of my least favorite performances from this round. Some of the lyrics were definitely questionable, lul. Jaehyun and Seowon did well, but Taejo was the only one who caught my eye. I honestly just could not really take Jaehyun seriously in this performance, he really seems way too young to me. Lee Hi - Breathe: I did like this, but it felt like something was missing. I don't really know what, though. If I'm being unbiased, then Gyehyeon definitely did the best on this team, but I actually liked Kangmin the most in this. I thought his voice fit the song really well. Anxin did good too, tho. He just needs a bit more confidence, I think. I do love him very much. I really can't get over the fact that he is only a few months older than Yujin. Also, Sangwon just bawling his eyes out to this made me love him even more. I-dle - Queencard: This song definitely should not have been a vocal song to begin with, but keeping that aside, I did like this performance. Really happy that this was not changed to Kingcard. Leo and Inhu did really well. Sanghyeon does seem like a cutie. He also hasn't gotten me 100% with his performance yet, but that's fine. Also, IST Entertainment finally decided to write a statement about Sihwan but did not address the most import things at all, oh well. Stray Kids - LALALALA: It's so funny to me that they used &Team as inspiration for this performance, not that I really mind, tho. This performance did take a while to grow on me, but I do like it now. I actually like the M Countdown version more, tho. I think my biggest problem with it is that they just don't really seem like a team for some reason. Maybe the awful screen time distribution also plays a part in this, but I think it's not the only reason. Xinlong did really great, but he also hasn't really gotten me 100% with his performance yet. I do really like him tho, I still can't get over the fact that he was born in 2005. I guess being in the industry for so long does make you seem way older. This definitely was the best of what I have seen of Geonwoo so far, I'm starting to warm up to him. Did not really notice Bowen and Guangxu much at all. Zheyi did great, but I also only really noticed him in this one part. It is kinda cool that they won tho, considering that there were 4 C trainees and only 1 K trainee in this team. My top 8 did actually not change after this episode. You could also just say that I was waiting for the eliminations to organize it again. More to that in your reaction to the next episode tho. Looking forward to it as always :)

Run To You Team - I am a little biased cus i LOVE this song but this is definitely my second favourite vocal performance. Yoomin is so incredibly talented, Hengyu was amazing even though hes not actually a vocal position (i think ?, correct me if im wrong), Woojin was ROBBED, he definitely shouldn’t have had THAT low points, I don’t wanna spoil anything but k-netz are abandoning Woojin, but Sen did good too considering his trainee time. 2. Smoke Team - Okay so I get both sides of the “argument” they both had but I also think it’s incredibly fake. I never watched p7 fully but I have seen a lot of it & though they weren’t the best of friends, they are both very kind people. Also, Yechan did admit to playing up for screentime on a comment he made on the fancam I believe & the fact Yichen also broke the 4th wall & looked at the camera is also just really makes it feel less real to me 😭. Anyways, this was tied with famous with me, hot being my fav, I don’t think their voiced meshed well either & it was too empty, Yechan’s rap was 100% better but I do like them both still. 3. Bad Team - Oh my gosh I was so mixed on this. I don’t like the dynamics in this team at all? I cant put my finger on it. I think Donggyu definitely stole the show on this one I fear, Junseo did his job well but it wasn’t anything surprising for me & not to hate on Masato but I think it made me even more sure that he might need to train more before debut, he was lagging behind a little & this is meant to be his best talent considering he was one of the first people to choose the song. 4. Tambourine Team - I could rant all day about this team but I wont. For starters, I think Suren’s issue was incredibly justified & I’m happy he spoke about it as it was most likely his last performance. Now my main issue was Kaiwen being completely hidden, this was not Yumeki’s fault, It was mnets editing, they only used wide shots during his parts or zoomed in on other members, this genuinely saddened me as just before this aired I grew to really love Kaiwen & I think it’s just a way of mnet making sure the smallest amount of c-trainees debut as he is getting a lot more popular. Other than that, Suren literally sang almost all the song & this is why we should use song the trainees should actually be able to singgg. However, Jiahao definitely gained more fans from this which i love, it just disappointed me. 5. Rose Blossom Team - I really like Junil but this isn’t his strength, he is a brilliant dancer & imo one of the best on the show so I’m sad he didn’t get chosen for a dance team. Haneum was gorgeous & amazing, hes honestly such a natural talent. Liyu didn’t really show me anything new again, but it’s sad he made that mistake. Sadly I didnt really notice the others so I have nothing much to say. 6. Famous Team - Yeah they were all amazing I don’t think I can rank them tbh. 7. Breathe Team - I’m probably part of the minority here buy I love ballads like this & this was my favourite vocal performance, Gyehyeon led them really well & you could really feel his emotion the most, other than that I would give them all 3stars but if I had to choose I would give Kangmin 2. One thing I did find funny was Sangwon’s little fade in half way through, I know they added it because he cried, but could it not have been shown after? 😭 8. Queencard Team - Another robbery tbh, Inhu was my favourite in this, I love his tone, but Leo should’ve stayed 3 stars & last was absolutely crazy. 9. LaLaLaLa Team - I’m not the type to normally call people out on this stuff but this team took HEAVY inspiration from &team, you can literally hear War Cry playing in the background at 46:57 (on kisskh) when junseo is talking to masato. This performance kinda disappointed me, I feel like it wasn’t as detailed or creative as like jennie or xxl. Nobody really stood out to me & I hate how Geonwoo is being pushed down our throats since people r forgetting or claiming his scandal is fake but oh well. Also, glad you mentioned it, Guangxu did look so stunning, I mean he always does but I’m so sad we didn’t get to see more of him. Now with how they ranked, I disagree with Rose Blossom Team winning only because of the amount of mistakes made, I’d much rather it be Run To You or Breathe, just because of the fact it sounded more pleasing to me. I think Hot Team should’ve won just because it was wayy more entertaining but I wasn’t mad. But for dance position, this was so badly ranked?? I’d much rather like jennie or xxl win. Overall, my top 8 currently (after eliminations) is: 1. Lee Sangwon 2. Zhou Anxin 3. Lee Leo 4. Chen Kaiwen 5. Zhang Jiahao 6. Hsu Chingyu 7. Park Donggyu 8. Sun Hengyu Sorry I’ve ranted here, I somehow have gotten really invested into this show 🤞
