Okay firstly don't worry about me feeling obligated to respond haha I just do it cause I want to :) Reading your comments always makes me revisit the episode and think about different things which I love. The star stuff is definitely interesting... I heard someone say that it feels like the producers thought that the main thing wrong about season 1 was that they got rid of the star system too quick and decided to make that the whole plot this time around, but I don't think anyone actually wanted this lol. It's definitely interesting to think about the possible concept of the debut group, cause obviously the show is still trying to go with the whole alpha thing, but I honestly don't see that with the current top 8. As time goes on the more the whole Junmin edit backfires for me. On rewatches I'm always temped to just skip to the performance, which in itself makes the performance less fun to watch as well. Wish they could've focused more on the other members, especially Harry June. Interesting that you haven't seen any Masato fans, cause I feel like they're everywhere. Mostly in TikTok comments tbh haha. If your current top 8 debuted, then I'd definitely check their stuff out, there's enough of my beloveds in there. Also I'm so hoping that Haneum makes it into the group, it would be such a slay for him to win even though his first performance wasn't even aired. And thank you for voting for my people as well:D

I definitely agree that as of right now he's not suited to be in a group at all and I would hate to be in one with him if I was on the show haha. I just have a soft spot for him cause of all the evil editing and I wouldn't mind seeing him go further thanks to that.

2025-08-27 03:08:22 +0000 UTCI have SO many opinions on this episode because I cant tell if I hated it or loved it. Firstly, with the Sangwon rumours about him not necessarily being straight.. I see it, this man was dancing to girl group covers back in trainee a 24/7 & his love for bl (and apparent secret boyfriends ?) only make me see it more. But here's my opinion on the seen performances 1. XXL - I liked it, Yunseo did amazing with both choreography & performance, Arctic really stood out to me, probably being my favourite in this team but the other 2 I can’t really say the same for, I don't see them debuting or ever in my lineup. 2. HOT - I loved the end performance, I do however think our opinions differ when it comes to Zhongxing, I can’t imagine him working well in a group setting, he seems to be very independent, only training alone & didn't really think about the team when he asked to leave mid-mission, he's obviously talented just not suited for a group imo, especially a kpop group. I loved Zihao & he knows how to grab attention in a way thats not too jarring. I do think the WHIB members are being pushed too much & its not really working for me. I also didn't really notice Boheng 3. like JENNIE - yeah this didn't give what it should've gave, I feel like it was very catered to Junmin due to everyone else in the group proving being able to serve perviously, I liked Sangwon again, he's very solid & I think his facials are truly amazing. Chingyu danced beautifully as always & Hyunjun really surprised me, I wish Harry June got more screen time as he worked so hard on the choreo but im happy hes rised in the rankings. Finally, my top 5 is (because I have too many favs for a top 8) is, Sangwon, Anxin, Leo, Chingyu & Arctic, I swap some of these for Kaiwen, Hengyu, Haneum, Jiahao & Xinlong if I feel like it that day though. One thing I am struggling for atm is all the Liyu & Masato love, I don't hate either of them but I don't think either should debut just yet, especially Liyu, we haven't seen any variety from him yet & his skills just aren't as develped as a lot of other trainees, I do hope they prove me wrong though as they have a high chance of debuting. Due to the cliff hanger I do think LALALA won & Xinlong is in the top 8 but it could all just be mnets lovely editing skills..

Like, I do also like how they have a set amount of 3 or 2 stars in one group, that definitely makes the groups more equal. But why make them have a competition inside their groups? They could have easily done the benefits without them changing their stars. Also, there is no point of the stars anymore except for mind games and maybe in what dorm they will practice for the next mission. Besides, the number of people in each group seems so random. Will again refrain from talking about the on-side voting, it just makes no sense most of the time. They obviously are just way too biased. I really wish that the mentors would evaluate them and not the audience. Some of those song choices are definitely interesting... Like, who thought that it was a good choice to have Queencard in Vocals? I do really really like Rose Blossom, but I'm also not sure at all if that is the best song to showcase your vocals. The other vocal choices seem fine though. "Breathe" was written by Jonghyun, btw. I adore that song, it's so beautiful. Also, Why is K-pop so obsessed with Bad by Christopher? I feel like I see it everywhere and I'm not really a fan of the song. And I really don't like the chorus of Tambourine at all, lul. I also just really only listen to K-pop (or J-pop, T-pop etc.) so I guess I'm just not the right audience. I have successfully ignored the existence of Allday Project till now, did not think that this show would remind me of their existence, oh well. I also totally agree with you that I wish that they would dance AND sing/rap or only rap/sing. It was so perfect in S1 with the dual positions, why change it? Now let's get into the performances: Young Posse - XXL: I did not expect to enjoy this as much as I did. Everyone did so well! Loved Yunseo's story line, it was so funny. I also enjoyed him way more in this performance than in Plot Twist. This performance also now 100% sold Arctic to me, love him. Don't really have much to say about the others. 1TYM - Hot: Also a surprisingly very fun and good performance. I love Zihao as a person, but he still has not gotten me 100% with his performance yet. He is really good tho. Zhongxing's tone did fit way better with this song. He might not be the best fit for a group (yet) but I feel like he would do great as a soloist. I would kinda love for him to make it to the next round, not sure if he has a chance though. Leejeong did his best definitely, I do like him. I honestly totally forgot that Boheng was the killing part until you pointed it out, I thought it was Zihao. He definitely did good, but I also did not really notice him too much. Ig he was just overshadowed by Zihao and Zhongxing? Also, was just not really a fan of his styling. Jennie - Like Jennie: Good performance definitely, I think I enjoyed the others a bit more tho. I really wished that they would show at least a bit of Harry June making the choreo. He obviously did good, but yeah, he mostly was in the back of the performance, it's a shame. Good to see that he rose so much in the ranking, tho. Really liked Sangwon as always. Did like Whiplash more, but that's totally fine. Seeing him perform just makes me wonder what the concept of the debut group will be like. Cause I can't at all see Sangwon doing something really really intense. I really liked Hyunjun in this performance. Same goes for Chingyu, but I don't really have strong feelings for him. Junmin's story line did not change anything for me. Don't get me wrong, I have nothing against him and he is pretty good, but I'm just not interested in him at all. Also, the way I interpreted it was that his members told him to make sure to debut in the group and that's why they did not want to see him come back. Meaning that they want to see him debut in a more successful group or that their group might really not have a future. I do hope for him that he can debut in another group that comes out of this show or that he maybe will be able to return to his group again. He will probably make it to the next round, but I don't think that he has a chance to debut at all. I think his edits might also backfire for some people, because It's so in our faces. I was so wrong about Masato dropping, it's kinda funny. Mostly just said it because I never encounter anyone that is a fan of him. I guess they are maybe mostly Korean/Japanese/Chinese or something? Or they are just hiding. Or maybe it will only show in the rankings when there are fewer people we can vote for. To theorize about the 2 people that got into the top 8 in this interim ranking: I think that it's Xinlong and Haneum. I do think that at this point only those that ranked 1-12 in the last ranking actually have a chance to debut. Plus Geonwoo ig, seeing all the one-pick polls. It would be really funny tho if the debut group would actually again be the ranking of the first eliminations top 1-5/6 + rank 9-10/11. That actually fells realistic too. My top 8 did change this time, no ranking tho cause I could not figure it out at all: Sangwon, Anxin, Hengyu, Leo, Sen, Kaiwen, Haneum, Arctic So yeah, I changed Masato and Donggyu to Haneum and Arctic. I hope Arctic makes it to the next round, not sure if he has a chance, but he got good screen time in the last episodes, so maybe. Haneum might be a bit random, but I did a deep dive into his solo stuff and l really like him now, lul. I hope he slays in the next ep. I don't really have much hope that Sen makes it to the next round, tbh. I also totally don't know yet if I will ult this group, there is a possibility tho. I feel like I will only truly know when they have their first comeback cause I am mostly always hyped for a debut of a survival show group but then lose interest. Looking back at S1 I think I only really cared for Haobin in the finale. I don't think that I even allowed myself to fully get invested in anyone else cause I did not know if they would make it. I also assume that i did not get into some people because we did not see enough of them or because the setting of a survival show makes some act pretty different. Like one thing I do remember is that I had Gyuvin in my top 9 since the first ep but I only really started to love him in Camp ZB1 and same goes for Gunwook even tho he was my one pick in the final. But I also totally gave up on him making it at the end haha. I felt pretty neutral about everyone else in the final and ig it will be the same in this season for me. So who knows how much I will love everyone once they debut, we will see ig. Like the only ones that I am really invested in atp are Sangwon, Leo and maybe Anxin, all people that have a high chance of debuting. Also, yes I did talk about the number of trainees that will make it into the final in my last comment. I totally forgot that in S1 there was another elimination, so it did not make sense what I wrote, lul. I don't think we actually know how many episodes this season will have, tho. So this elimination will perhaps be the last one and this season will only have 11 episodes, like in Produce 101 S1 and S2. But I feel like they would have said something about this being the last elimination before the final if this was the case. So I guess they will just get rid of the stars after this round and then just eliminate 8 people in ep 11. It's a shame that you can't vote, I sadly also don't have a solution for you. I did throw out all my values and voted for your top 5 today haha. This is not the voting for the final, so it also does not really matter if I vote for the minors ig, not that I think that they have a chance either way. Also, I just wanted to say that I hope that you don't feel obligated to respond to my comments, especially now that you are way busier. Not keeping you from doing it if you want to of course haha. I do always appreciate when you do it, but "only" reading it is totally fine! Looking very much forward to the next episode and to your reaction to it as well of course, whenever that will be :)
