Of course I wish we didn't have to feel guilty at all, but at least neither of us are alone in this thought. I honestly feel a similar guilt about just supporting any kpop artists at all, since we're all aware of the mistreatment of trainees and artists that goes on in every single company tbh. But obviously that hasn't actually stopped me from stanning anyone or watching this show. I guess we're all a bit flawed in that sense, but I'm sure neither of us would claim to be the most morally right person in the world... Anyway back to the show. Not really much to add to your comments on part 1 that I didn't already say in the video, but as always I like hearing your thoughts on the performances and contestants. I definitely agree that the second episodes have the least rewatch value in the whole show (I'm assuming at least since the same went for season 1 imo). All the little differences between K & C are so strange and I'll never shut up about them. And of course the dog! They could've given C planet a cat at least if they wanted to change things up lol. Interesting top 8 as always, but I agree that Fan Zheyi being the maknae feels weird hahah. I definitely think both our top 8s could change a lot now that we're getting into the actual missions. I still have high hopes that the show's gonna be a lot more fun going forward, for sure feels like these 2/4 episodes were kinda like the prelude to the actual show, but I guess that was intended.

It actually wasn't as bad as I remembered it to be, but I guess knowing what will happen and preparing yourself does help a lot. I think that this ep and also the K ep 2 just don't really have much rewatch value. So many things that just don't make sense in this episode. As you mentioned, the phone calls were different. It did really seem like K had no limits for the time or at least more time. Just the fact that it was not a FaceTime call would also just be enough though. Also, they did not have a dog! Or at least they did not show it. And yes, the last evaluation with the star creators just makes even less sense here. I really would love to see a breakdown of how they calculated it, if they even have one that makes sense. Also, we have so few C trainees left. Why do we still have some that we basically have never seen before? Especially the one 3-star, I was also like, who is Hong Zhihan? Nothing against him tho, obviously. Please show him to me if he is good Mnet! Ok let's get into my top 8: Firstly, I did try to rank my overall top 8: 1. Sangwon 2. Sen 3. Hengyu 4. Leo 5. Kangmin 6. Donggyu 7. Zheyi 8. Kaiwen Also I only mostly checked if they were at least born in 2007, but this is the first time I'm actually looking at the ages and Fan Zheyi would be the maknae with this lineup, that feels wrong for some reason. Also, I thought that Donggyu was older, It does not make sense in my head that he was born in the same year as Sen and Kaiwen. Also I was not going for 4-4 but it just happend that way haha. Even tho it is technically not balanced since Sen is Japanese. Now to my C top 8: 1. Sen: I really, really like him for some reason. Love his voice and he is really cute. But we also haven't seen too much from him ig, I'm interested to see if he will stay on top for me after seeing more. I do am also just really confused why he is in C planet. Like he even has label mates in K Planet, one (Masato) of whom is actually also Japanese. Well, I guess if this was decided before the decision to make one group, then it would have kinda made sense to split them up. Sen does seem to speak good Korean tho because we see him talk in Korean with Zhang Hao. Lots of people are also saying that they are pushing Masato and ig also Sen a bit cause they are from Jaejoong's company. Could make sense ig but it's interesting how they are basically completely ignoring Junil and Taeyoon, who are also in the same company. 2. Sun Hengyu: I don't really have to say much about him right? He is doing amazing and he seems like such a sweet dude. 3. Fan Zheyi: Well, now we are coming to the part where I am just speculating. We have not seen him really at all in this episode, but from what I have seen I do just really like him. It does seem a bit unfair to vote for someone that I have not really seen anything new of, while there are others in my C top 8 that we have seen more of and that maybe even did better. But the fact that we have not seen him this ep is also just unfair, so I will just trust my instincts with this one. 4. Chen Kaiwen: Basically the same thing as with Zheyi, just that he potentially has a higher possibility to leave my overall top 8 again. 5. Zhou Anxin I do also love his eyebrows! I really like him, I think I just need to see a little bit more from him. 6. Yi Chen As I said I am biased haha. Not sure if he will stay in my Top 8, just really interested to see more of him. 7. Dang Honghai Was not expecting for him to end up in my Top 8 but I do am really liking him so far. And again, I do not know at all if he will stay in my top 8. We will see with the next performances ig. 8. Jiang Fan: He did not make it into my overall top 8 but he did make it into my C top 8! It really did not make sense for him to get 1 star in the beginning, but maybe it actually was good for him. Cause this gave him a good story, he might not have gotten much screen time if he was a 3- or 2-star from the get-go. He hasn't gotten me 100% yet but I am definitely excited to see more of him. Super interested to see how our top 8s will change after the next eps. I don't think that there are many trainees in my top 8 that are actually fixed, the next episodes could totally change it completly. Zhang Jiahao got kicked out of my top 8 just because I liked the others more. He does seem to have potential, I like what I have seen of him so far. We also did not see him much in this episode. I can't really explain why He Xinlong is not in my top 8 anymore because I do think that I like him more than some of the others in my top 8 but I just did not feel like adding him. It's also not like I do not want him to debut or because he is already in a group, I just really can't explain why, haha. I am a bit confused about Zhao Guangxu because I have actually have seen lots of people say that he is normally way better. He was also in Project 7 but under the name LynnLynn. Hope we maybe see more in the next performance. Also the voice of Nian Boheng did seem to be edited really weird in the signal song test. Now to some of the eliminated trainees: I was not spoiled that He Junjin was eliminated and I also did not think that he would be. Kinda sad cause I actually was looking forward to seeing more of him. Putting the star level test aside, I did really like the voice of Sang Lin and I would have loved to still have Xie Binghua and Lim Jack on the show tbh, like just from their personalities alone even. They would have been fun to still have around. They do also seem to have potential. Already talked about the three BP boys but yeah also still sad that they are gone and I also hope that Jia Hanyu is doing okay. There probably are some more that would have been great to still have on the show, but we just did not see much from the others i think. Definitely happy that the show is now merged. It feels like we are now actually starting. Really looking forward to the next episode! :)
