Howdy, fellow Draconiacs! RazorFox here.
Looks like Lady Red's home, and she's brought a guest. How will this long-awaited talk turn out? Stay tuned...
If the background image in panel 2 looks familiar, it's lifted from the 2015 calendar. I figured that the scene perfectly encapsulated that story arc, and the art was recent enough that the stylistic differences weren't too jarring. Plus, it saved me a lot of work! ^__^
Speaking of work, development has hit a bit of a bump in regards to the 2019 calendar. Quite simply, I'm just not feeling it in regards to the theme as I'm having trouble making it work. Money is another reason. While the production costs of the calendar have thankfully remained steady over the years thanks to the local print shop I use and their consistent pricing, the cost of shipping has gone up substantially in recent years and the cost of international shipping in particular effectively erased what would have been the profits on last year's calendar run.
While a calendar is what got this whole thing started back in 1999, I'm starting to weigh whether to continue the calendar series as a going concern. It eats up a lot of time every fall and because of it, the comic--the true centerpiece of this entire endeavor and the reason I would hope each of you keeps coming back--takes a hit.
That doesn't necessarily mean that the 2019 calendar is cancelled as there's still time to get it done, but I'm seriously considering whether it's the best use of my time and creative energies. We'll see where things go.
Thanks for indulging me, fellow Draconiacs, and stay tuned to hear what Eone has to say next! Take care, and thanks for reading!
