The Ready Saw

One of the most-asked questions on my entire channel is “What is that bandsaw wall mount?” I’ve never been able to answer that question because it was a prototype sent to me by the inventor and he asked me not to talk about it until he got his patent approved and he was able to build them in volume. I’ve been honouring that ever since, even though the guy never responded to any of my emails after that and I never heard from him again. Years went by, so I assumed he fell off the map and never got the product made.
Well, one of my viewers just spotted that the guy apparently started offering them for sale at some point and never told me. So here you go! You can buy one of your own.
My honest review of it is that the trigger mechanism is absolutely brilliant. One of the cleverest things I’ve seen on a tool. It’s a progressive over-centering lever that holds the trigger on the saw at any desired level.
The “buttons” wall mounting system is not great. I bypassed that and screwed the steel bracket directly to the wall because the buttons were too wobbly.
Honestly though, I can recommend it for sure. It’s one of my favourite shop upgrades that I’ve ever done. The saw is always there to use, but it’s also just hanging there and you can pull it off for other jobs at any moment.

Prototypes are sometimes far from representative of the final product. Thanks. Been looking forward to this reveal.
