Good [applicable time of day],

This week, I've been focusing on getting the investigation part functional. The code for it is done, the visuals for one part of it are done, and the text for it is around 80% finished as well. It needed considerably more text than I thought it would. I was expecting this part to be less story intense, but it ended up fairly long.

Speaking of, the word count for this release is currently between 13k and 14k words, and I expect we'll be going up to 20k, so that means we're 60-70% done with the story.

Regarding visuals, still images for the final hangout scene are in progress, and I expect it'll be done by the next update.

Next week, I am going to focus on finishing up the writing for the investigation scene and starting on the last quarter of the story. This one will be very complicated to do, with multiple variations, but I'm hoping very rewarding when I'm finished.

With visuals, I'm going to be finishing the still images for the final hangout scene, as mentioned, and then I'll start posing the animations.

Fortunately, there's no more code work left for this release.

Overall, I think we've hit the halfway mark, though it's hard to tell exactly. At least in amount of work needed, I feel like we're there.
