Two more videos in early access

Hey all,

Pfew, a few days of hard editing and here we are - two new videos are completed and a third is on the way! Just click on the titles and you will be taken straight to the videos:

Action of Bougainville - 11 Feb.
: In this video, Justin Pyke and I will discuss the battle and significance of the Action off Bougainville on 20 Feb. 1942 in which Lexington was under attack by G4Ms by 4th Kokutai and escaped unharmed but with the first American ace of the war, Butch O'Hare. Due to my stay in Germany, this one couldn't be recorded sooner, so apologies for the short notice. On the upside, you will be able to enjoy some spectacular 're-enactment' footage of the action, courtesy of Task Force Admiral.

50cal vs. 20mm cannons - What is best? - 11. March: I put this one in early access a few days ago but placing it here as a reminder. The discussion what weapon was better for fighter aircraft, .50cal or 20mm cannons is one that keeps being debated, vigorously at times. In this video, I talk about this topic and argue that this comparison makes little sense.

Other videos already in early access:

Inside the Cockpit - Mirage IIIS - 25. Feb: Inside The Cockpit returns! In this video I will have an in-depth look at the French Mirage III in Swiss service.

P-47D Thunderbolt - Walkaround - No date: Taking a closer look at one of my favourite planes from WW2, this video will feature a P-47D found at the RAF Museum.

Upcoming content:

Why did the Me 262 have Bombs - 18 Feb: What delayed the Me 262 - was it really Hitler's insistence to add bombs, or were other problems more important in pushing back the aircrafts schedule? I will discuss this, and more, in this video coming the 18th February. (See the picture above for a small sneakpeak). I am at about the 80% stage with this one, and it should also be in early access soon.

Thank you once more for the ongoing - I hope you enjoy the videos and as always, please  feel free to leave your comments and feedback!
Chris

Great suggestion for a video!

It would be interesting to know your opinion on how you can maintain a perimeter defense against an enemy operating aircraft carriers when your long range scouting planes (Emily boat planes in this case) are also very vulnerable to interdiction by the CVs CAPs. Plus those Emilys must have been quite expensive and their specialized crews (navigators) scarce

Chris, I just viewed 50 cal vs 20mm and your in depth analysis confirmed what I had suspected; the weapons loads of each belligerent were first and foremost designed and adapted to address the issue: what type of adversary are we facing and what's the best way to destroy that adversary. I'm assuming the same held true for the Japanese Army and Navy planes. Cheers!
