You'll notice that throughout the tome, the corrupted versions are more powerful than their saintly counterparts.
That's by design.
They sacrifice their morals for power, and brave adventurers can come and whip their ass back into place showing them that it was nothing but a crutch.
Or you die to them, idk.

Not sure if someone else already mentioned this somewhere, but is Bedivere supposed to have the same bonus action from Sir Kay's corrupted stat block?
