Schedule February 9-13

Hello, hello. Happy Saturday.

You guys. This week. I don't know what was up with it, but it just felt off. For it's entirety. Fingers crossed, next week seems more normal.

So, this week we finish S7 of The Vampire Diaries and start S8. I'm so excited for this. But, I'm sad, because the reason I'm excited is that I did not enjoy this season. Sigh. We also finish up S3 of The Originals and start S4. I'm also excited for this. But for the opposite reason. This season has been so good, and I'm really looking forward to seeing how we finish. I'm also super grateful to Nik who is kind enough to continuously (without seemingly being annoyed) remind of lore I should already know. It's odd how certain things just refuse to stick in your brain. 🤷‍♀️

Everything else is pretty much status quo for the moment.

Also, I have the February movie poll going up tomorrow at 10am EST. If you have last minute ideas, feel free to let me know and I'll add them to the poll. And speaking of polls, the one for Ginny & Georgia's replacement goes up on Wednesday. So, again, any last minute ideas, let me know. Both movies and the Ginny & Georgia replacement are for Book Stack and above.

I just started a new book this morning. And when I went to add it to my reading log app thing, I realized I read 15 books in January and this is only my second for February. Oops. Part of that is I tried to read Listen for the Lie for about four days, but never got past the second page. And I don't even know why. But, I'm much more into Recursion, which is what I'm reading now.

In totally unrelated news, my algorithm went from Heated Rivalry, to Catherine O'Hara, to people falling on ice (I fell hard on the ice taking out my garbage yesterday) in a flash. And I don't know how to stop getting people falling on ice! Help me.

It is super cold here. And I love it. But Dan has made me close the bedroom door. I've got the window open and he can't handle it. 🤣 Which, fair, but now I can't see him. This makes me sad.

Stranger Things: 5X3: Chapter Three: The Turnbow Trap

Henry targets Holly's classmate and bully, Derek Turnbow, as his next victim.

Hopper and Eleven fail to break through the massive wall and are ambushed by soldiers, but manage to overpower them. Hopper and Eleven interrogate Akers, concluding that Dr. Kay is holding Henry at the base.

Will, Nancy, and Mike inform the group that Henry lured Holly by claiming he was her imaginary friend, prompting them to devise a plan to use Derek as bait to trap the Demogorgon, and implant a tracker in it to reach Holly before more children are taken.

The group arms themselves using weapons smuggled in by Murray and enlists Erica to drug Derek and his family.

The team splits up, transporting the unconscious family to an abandoned barn while converting Derek's house into a trap for the Demogorgon.

The plan unravels when Derek wakes up and Will realizes the Demogorgon has located his group.

Meanwhile, Holly finds herself in Henry's childhood home. In the nearby forest, she encounters Max.

Greek 2X19: Social Studies

The existence of a conspiracy using the identification phrase "Tyger, Tyger" amongst California's Law Enforcement personnel is revealed. This suggests that Red John, known for his fascination with Blake's poem, may have strong connections to this organization.

Bob Kirkland is murdered by Reede Smith, who tells a police officer to say that he killed him because he tried to run away, and they seal the deal by saying "Tyger, Tyger" (which indicates that they are part of the secret organization).

Jane's list of suspects drops to five.

Mrs Pownall recovers but Ryn gets aggressive and emotionally unstable that leads to her runaway from Ben's house.

Rick and Helen meet Bryan and learn that he and Beth are part of merpeople hybrids community and attend the gathering. There Helen gets acquainted with John and begins to suspect that there are some secrets amongst members.

Xander finds out that Calvin gambles.

The Good Place 1X2: Flying

Eleanor avoids suspicion in the aftermath of the chaos, while Michael fears he has failed in his first big project.

Introducing Immanuel Kant's Metaphysics of Morals, Chidi considers teaching Eleanor to be a good person.

Tahani organizes a clean up day, but anyone who volunteers will miss out on the opportunity to fly.

Chidi suggests Eleanor volunteer in order to prove that she has the capacity for selflessness. She does, but she hides the trash to go flying after all, causing a trash storm to occur. Chidi loses faith in her and refuses to help.

That night, Eleanor feels guilty and cleans the neighborhood herself. Chidi sees her and agrees to teach her to be good.

A note is slipped under Eleanor's door, warning her that she does not belong in the Good Place.

Flashbacks to Eleanor's life show that she habitually shirked the responsibility of acting as a designated driver.

The Originals 3X21: Give 'Em Hell, Kid

Funerals are held for Camille and Davina, with Marcel looking to get back at the Mikaelsons for Davina's passing.

Vincent tells a friend of Camille’s, Detective Kinney, how she really died and he in turn helps in his plan to cut off the ancestors.

Freya and Elijah discover that Marcel plans to drink the serum recovered from Aurora’s blood and make himself an un-killable super-original to kill the Mikaelsons for good.

Elijah interrupts Klaus trying to reconnect with Marcel and out of fear of the prophecy, ends up killing Marcel.

Vincent and Kol leave the item that is intended to cut off the ancestors. They find Davina in the afterlife void who tells Vincent that she will take it from there sending them back and saying goodbye to Kol.

Elijah confides in Hayley showing sadness to what he has done. Hayley tries to convince Klaus into forgiving Elijah

Vincent reveals to Josh that Marcel took the serum.

The Vampire Diaries 7X21: Requiem for a Dream

Bonnie is not waking up to prevent herself from killing her vampire friends.

Caroline and Enzo individually enter her head and try convincing her to let go of the murdering urge and to embrace this new chance at living. Each of them fail as Bonnie kills them in the dreams, thus marking them in a way.

Stefan vervains Caroline to keep her out of harm's way; both have a heart-to-heart talk clearing away 3 years' worth of misunderstanding.

Damon tries reverse psychology on Bonnie by getting in her head and urging her to better die so he gets his Elena back. Enraged and hurt, Bonnie rips out his heart, marking him. But this try by Damon doesn't go in vain, as Bonnie does wake up.

She gives a heads up to Caroline who is heartbroken as she realizes that she'll have to abandon her daughters to be on a never-ending run with Stefan.

Matt convinces Bonnie to try to remain rooted to her human side and she agrees, but in one condition: she needs to finish off Damon once and for all.

Bonnie and Damon have a major clash at the woods when she beats Damon more brutally than ever; yet he doesn't give up and draws her towards the very tree stump where Bonnie was once remembered after she had died. He tries calming her down by making her realize that she's powerful, she's handled more supernatural forms than he can remember, that he admires and cares for her and that may she forgive him for what he has done to their once strong friendship.

Undeterred, Bonnie takes a final jolt at Damon but just in time, Matt tranquilizes her. Damon and Matt tuck her in to safety in Matt's car hoping that she'd be out for 8 hours or so. Somewhere in midway, Bonnie wakes up, chains up Matt, shoving him in the backseat of the car and takes control of the wheels and drives back to finish her unfinished business.

Damon and Enzo find ways to save Bonnie as Matt had earlier, known from the Shaman that: if the link between Bonnie and the Last Everlasting can be severed in any way, the curse will probably sever too.

With all paths in front of them, there are just a few major roadblocks: The Armory's magically sealed shut, wherein the evil from the vault could be wandering anywhere and someone has to go get inside the Armory to get The Everlasting's body out.

The Mentalist 6X3: Wedding In Red

The Originals 3X20: Where Nothing Stays Buried

Following both Camille and Davina's deaths, Kol and Marcel go to the Mikaelsons asking for help to find a way to resurrect Davina.

They send her to the place of the ancestors and Freya pulls her into a protective circle mere seconds before the ancestors could doom her to a fate worse than death.

Meanwhile, Hayley and Klaus go to the bayou in an attempt to retrieve Rebekah's body before Lucien, in an attempt to provoke Klaus, gets to her first.

Freya figures out a way to make Lucien vulnerable, but it means sending Davina's soul back to the ancestors. Klaus asks her to find another way, but Elijah and Freya go through with it.

Davina is lost to the ancestors and the resurrection spell fails. They successfully weaken and finally kill Lucien thus avenging Camille's death, but Marcel disowns them as family.

Also, Elijah and Hayley get close and Vincent and Marcel talk about taking New Orleans back from the Originals and the ancestors.

The Vampire Diaries 7X20: Kill 'Em All

Damon makes a deal with Alexandria wherein he will deliver them Bonnie for opening the vault provided they send some workforce to help him track down the long list of vampires.

Matt realizes that 2 years back, he killed Penny while she was capturing Stefan, who came to Mystic Falls to pay respect to Liz Forbes - a thought that had been compelled away by Stefan under a false cover story of the car accident as Matt would get shattered as he and Penny had just gotten engaged. However, Matt still holds grudge against Stefan for having destroyed his, Penny's and hundreds of others' lives.

Damon-Enzo, Matt-Stefan, Caroline-Alaric, and the men from Armory team up separately to finish off Rayna's list. Pills' effects start wearing off of Bonnie enabling her to practice magic again.

She opens the vault and Alex finds Yvette's body in an unrecognizable state though hearing her voices. As Alex and the others search inside the vault, Bonnie traps them inside the building thus keeping her promise she made to Virginia.

Finally, Rayna's last life gets transferred to Bonnie, but along with that gets transferred her hunter instincts, turning Bonnie, a girl whose entire life revolves around her near and dear ones who unfortunately are vampires, into a vampire huntress.

The Good Place 1X1: Everything is Fine

Eleanor Shellstrop wakes up in a afterlife utopia called the "Good Place", where she is welcomed by the neighborhood's architect Michael.

All humans are assigned a numerical score based on the morality of their conduct in life, and only those with the very highest scores are sent to the Good Place (Heaven); all others experience an eternity of torture in the "Bad Place" (Hell).

Michael praises Eleanor for being a lawyer who helped innocent people off death row, then escorts her to a home designed to her preferences where she can access memories from her life.

She is also paired with a soulmate: Chidi, a Senegalese ethics professor. Eleanor tells Chidi that all of Michael's information about her is someone else's.

Eleanor made a living by knowingly selling a worthless supplement to the sick and elderly and was crass and uncaring.

Chidi has a moral crisis over whether or not to help Eleanor, who becomes frustrated and angry at a party hosted by her neighbors, soulmates Tahani and Jianyu.

The next morning, the neighborhood is attacked by representations of elements from Eleanor's life and her misbehavior in the Good Place.

Greek 2X17: Guilty Treasures

When chasing out an Omega Chi pledge, the KTs uncover a secret stash of goods stolen by former brothers.

Rusty and Andy are caught returning a football, after Rusty confesses to kissing Jordan.

Andy de-pledges, causing a rift between Rusty and Cappie.

Ashleigh is hesitant to take her relationship with Fisher public.

The Mentalist 6X2: Black-Winged Redbird

Ben suggests to destroy drilling ship and tribe is ready to return to water.

At parting, Ryn spends night with him and Maddie.

The next day a celebration ceremony with live broadcast right from the sea bottom is held by town government and Oil Company.

At the same time, Ben and Maddie manage to turn off the sonic device giving merpeople the ability to go in the ocean and destroy the drilling rig.

As a result, the ship collapses but Sarge is fatally wounded during the operation.

Meanwhile Cami confronts Xander on board of the North Star causing the ship to explode.

Schedule February 2-6

Hello, hello. Happy Monday. These schedules are really getting away from me, aren't they. 😳

So this week, we start The Good Place. Hart of Dixie is officially over and I'm still pretty sad about it. I don't actually know what's going on with 9-1-1 after this week. I think this is an 18 episode season, but it doesn't seem like they are airing the rest of the season for a bit. We already had a mid season finale, so I don't know what's going on here.

And speaking of 9-1-1, I just wanted to throw it out there, that whenever this shows ends (I have no idea how many more seasons they've got in them), it's not getting replaced. This was a holdover from when I was doing more sponsored shows. I've since cut it down to 3, but this show just won't end (which is fine, since it's fun to watch- if you count crying every episode as fun. Lol.). Also, when Stranger Things ends, that's not getting replaced either. I wasn't even planning to finish this show, but somehow here we are. 🤣

Latter this week, I'm going to put up our next movie poll. I've gotten some suggestions, but add more here if you've got them. You guys really enjoyed How to Train Your Dragon (and so did I), so I'm adding the next one to that poll. You guys informed me that's it's a trilogy. These movies are for Book Stack and above.

We also need to think about replacing Ginny & Georgia. Somehow, we've only got five episodes of that left. I'm pretty sure S4 doesn't start for around a year, so we'll need something in the mean time. Feel free to put suggestions for that in the comments as well. I have some ideas, but more are usually better.

We did almost nothing this weekend. It's like the battling of parking spots over here. You don't really want to leave unless you have to, because there will be nowhere to put your car when you return. It's not so bad during the week, because everyone leaves for work. We ventured out to get groceries, but that's as exciting as our weekend was. Dan finished Stranger Things (while I wore headphone to try to avoid spoilers), and I read. Quite the party.

How To Train Your Dragon (2010)

The story takes place in Berk, a mythical Viking village.

Hiccup, an undersized teen outcast and son of the village chieftain, wishing to become a dragon slayer like the other Vikings, injures a rare Night Fury dragon but is unable to bring himself to kill it.

He instead helps and befriends the dragon, and quickly discovers that things are not exactly as they seem in the conflict between Vikings and dragons.

Book Stack Movies for February

Stranger Things 5X2: Chapter Two: The Vanishing of Holly Wheeler

The Demogorgon attacks and severely injures Mike and Nancy's parents, Karen and Ted, before disappearing with Holly to the Upside Down.

Eleven follows the Demogorgon through a gate into the Upside Down and finds Hopper. The two then search for Holly until they encounter a giant wall surrounding the edge of Hawkins.

Jonathan accuses Steve of competing for Nancy's attention before a bloodied Dustin finds them, while Lucas continues tending to a comatose Max in hopes she will wake up.

As Karen and Ted remain hospitalized, Nancy and Mike theorize that "Mr. Whatsit", Holly's imaginary friend, may be real and involved in Holly's disappearance.

Robin proposes using Will's telepathic link to Vecna's hive mind to track Holly in the Upside Down.

Karen informs Nancy and Mike that Mr. Whatsit's first name is Henry, whom they realize is Vecna's human form, Henry Creel.

Will discovers that his earlier visions were actually from Henry's point of view as he stalked Holly, realizing he can know Henry's targets before they are taken.

9-1-1 9X9: Fighting Back

Rebecca kisses another former ZBZ, Robin Wylie (Anna Osceola) Ashleigh's big sis, and begins questioning her sexuality.

The Mentalist 6X1: The Desert Rose

Red John calls Jane from Lisbon's phone, implying to him that he has her.

Jane's list of suspects drops to six.
