It’s Poet here writing up the weekly update that we are going to make weekly or at least not three weekly. With exams done for Poet and Smiles, they’re working on the project as much as possible now. Rat’s taking a short break but we have some finished poses that only need coloring, so enjoy the outlines. Noce is busy writing up Art 2 still.

Classes & Scheduling

As if we’ve said before ZGA is being rescoped and that game should be focused on classes that MC has to take, which will be the main vehicle for the content. There are six classes:

Administrative Service, where MC works for the Principal and her office.
Art Projects, where MC works on art under Ms. Aktrenat and with other students.
Human Civilization, where MC studies under Anet Parray and has fun with some of his classmates.
Field Maintenance, where MC does repair work under Chief Station Officer Gaske Mara and the Station AI, VEX.
Tutoring Services, where MC helps students, meets a fellow tutor, and deals with a troublesome teacher. (Smiles is writing this up for us).
Athletic Training, where MC is drafted into the world of Brutal Ball and muscle girls.

They will be put on a two day schedule of A & B days, where Human Civilization and Art Projects as well as Field Maintenance and Tutoring Services alternate. Everyday will have Administrative Service and Athletic Training.

The period goes a lot like this:

Wake Up, reserved for introductory text or special events as needed.

Administrative Service

Art Projects on A Day, Human Civilization on B Day

Lunch, is a free period with things to do or is skippable.

Field Maintenance on A Day, Tutoring Services on B Day

Athletic Training

Night, reserved for introductory text or special events as needed.

That said we are cutting down on the free roaming almost completely to ensure that our players aren’t confused and the story keeps a moving. There of course is room for sides and Viper and Vaal are still getting the ones you vote for.

What’s In 0.5?

The second most important thing is what’s in the update…

A code rework that will make the game easier to navigate and make MC go from class to class.
More code work for the future as it can be done, but mostly just placeholders.
A new intro sequence with a scene with Lybia.
The new poses for MC, Aktrenat, Lybia, Fora, Btier, Neoss, Viper, and Vaal.
A new character Proa, made using the new poses system, whose going to be in Art2.
The second part of Art where MC is introduced to to Proa and his relationship with Aktreant gets more complicated.

Meet Aria Durango & June Sunderland

These fine women raised MC after he was orphaned due to orbital debris killing his real parents.

They are in relationship of some sort that isn’t platonic or exclusive, and we’ll leave it that.

Aria is on the right and June’s on the left. Aria is a teacher and clerk, June more or less is scrapper and artist type. They’ll be featured later down the road but will make a brief appearance in the new intro.
