To everyone who played the game, supported us on Patreon, gave us feedback or comments, or simply checked out our posts at some point.
The Pausing
The Patreon will be paused until there is a new project with far stronger footing. It’s as simple as that.The project will be abandoned, as in the idea of Zero G Academy in its form as adult visual novel.
Why Pause?
Zero G Academy was an idea had by Noce back in 2016 when he was hanging out watching livestreams of DarkCookie’s art for his game “Summertime Saga”. It’s also where he met me, Poetsirrah who somehow also found himself on Picarto for that. He shared some ideas with many there. But he wanted to do his own project and another user suggested the genre of science fiction for an adult visual novel. He then gathered a fledgling team in his home country. He found a coder whose code and responses were lacking who later left the project leaving it without a coder for months until Poetsirrah joined. And an artist known as Jay whose art is our main appeal.
But there have been numerous issues in the development of this game. We’re going to be open and honest about them like we have been in the past.
- Jay hurt has hands when doing backgrounds and needed surgery.
- Jay had to take care of a family emergency for a long period of time.
- Previous coder leaving for a job and having to wait for Poetsirrah to be ready to join.
- Noce going back to school.
- Poetsirrah getting down in the dumps.
- Jay getting a job.
The deeper issue is threefold. The size of the game’s project is simply too big. With increasing restrictions on time and resources, the original vision of the game which was vague is not possible to reach. There were attempts at organization and planning for the game, but at the end of the day it’s a series of relatively unconnected plots coming in installments that lacked a lot of writing and had issues with being written. The idea of wandering about a space station that was empty and having to commit to a map in your head was too much and removed for systems that still failed to seal the deal on other areas of experiences. The game we were making was ultimately too big, too much art, and not enough direction. It lacked choices or gameplay expected in other VN titles. We had to change how poses worked because the animated ones were no worth the art time as well. The animated content scenes are and were though.
Where Do We Go From Here?
We will make another project that is smaller in terms of time for it to complete and in resources needed for it. We are working on what it will be, but it’s in the future when it will be unveiled after necessary groundwork and the initial release release has been secured. Then we will reopen the Patreon with the new project which will be then completed in 3-6 months. We will then follow with another project that will feature generation of content based on interest of our patrons.

Zero G Academy Update Post 19/JAN/2018
Sorry For Delay
We were quite busy over the holidays with work and holidays. We are going back to a consistent schedule of weekly updates. With every Friday/Saturday being the day where a new update post will be published.
What’s Next
Gym was the first class for Zero G Academy and it is undergoing a total revision integrating prior art assets to a degree.
What we are aiming for is:
- A class divided into 5 parts relying on progress each other’s progress but also having a degree of exclusivity due to time or contradicting focuses.
- Dialogue options in these parts will affect a final minigame of sorts making the task to win easier which is necessary for a good ending.
- Showcasing more of a scramble where MC has to get acquainted with a contact sport when all he ever did before was bounce a ball off a wall.
- A final big game where MC has to play goalie and not let the team down.
Work on it is continuing but we are hitting the point where we will be working on the Opening 5 Days of Gym, which will introduce the player to everyone.

Nurse Atropa
Is the Chief Medical Officer’s new assistant, she’s of a different temperament and style than the good doctor but shares the same devotion to patients. Prior to her reassignment to a civilian posting, she was working in experimental research facilities. She’s a Melay, who are a species of plant-like omnivores whose origins are most likely are deliberate genetic manipulation. Atropa plays fast and loose with the rules often in the name of a greater good.
Coordinator Uncia
Is an additional trainer hired by Coach Yulvar due to her stellar record with the Nova Mars’ Adamgrad Bombers as a Runner before being kicked off the team for insider trading. She was hired by Coach Yulvar the infamous “Crimson Queen” to improve her team so that it will conquer the Academy Circuit. She’s a Faelid, who are cat-like species of aliens known for their diplomacy and courtly affairs. But Unica is very much not to type with her aggressive nature, her penchant for practical jokes, and her underhanded nature.

But we are are quite busy as it is the Holidays and exam time approaching, we also have been taxing Rat's output to the max for the conclusion of Art. Art 3 will be simple and straightforward but have much content in the scenes present.
Where Proa and Aktrenat, feud over you as you are man enough to deal with their individual strangeness, thus are quite valuable.
They are quite heated on this, there's quite a lot of bad blood between them.
And they aren't above under the table tactics. There will be a choice to make and rewards along with heartbreak to follow.
Release Date
It will be released by December 21st or 22nd, it will contain Art 3. We'll post more teasers and images as they come in. We'll most likely begin the next update sometime in later January. It's content will most likely bringing back Gym which is almost ready to go asset wise, it's just needing some finishing touches to its script.

Zero G Academy Update Post 4-NOV-2018
We're in the home stretch for the release of the update. All art is done, what's left is coding which is being held by slightly by Poet being busy until sometime on Friday 9th, but the update will be out by Monday November 12th.
There's no more new art previewing due to wanting to keep some surprises for the sex scenes. So here's two colored versions of past previews.

We're back here again.
Good news, Rat's done with Sex Scenes & Cosmic has started coloring on them. The update will be definitely out either before the 9th of November or by by the 16th of November. This depends mostly on Poet's schedule and Cosmic's coloring speed.

Zero G Academy Update Post 20-OCT-2018
Good news everyone, coloring of all non-sex scenes was just completed by Cosmic this week. Here's a choice selection of his work. Here's three scenes in order of lewdness.
Rat's fully working on sex scenes right now, which when done will take Cosmic around 1-2 weeks to color, the release will definitely be before the end of November but most likely before or just around mid November.
And here's a preview of things to come...somewhat literally.

Here once again to post previews of scenes for the upcoming update and some other details.
Proa upon seeing such inappropriate behavior will then take matters into her own hands.
And rat out Aktrenat and MC to Lybia, whose always so happy to deal with things that cause her academy's reputation to be looked upon as questionable.
Proa will also surely enjoy teaching MC the joys of painting.
Additionally, 0.6 will include a simpler menu system for classes and side activities that will not be done in an automatic fashion along with other features. You can pick one class and one side activity per day to do essentially, with options to skip. This is allow focused progression, so you can get to the content you want.
Gym outlines are in the process of being wrapped up. Which means in 0.7 Gym can start to make the comeback with some newer content and more structured story, with the same Oni Amazons we all want to crush us.

The central focus in Art 2, in Update 0.5 is the aftermath of a little event whose uncolored preview you see below.
Ms.Aktrenat is a free spirit who we know, just tends to do things as her mood goes, and this big kiss will result in Proa (2nd from Left), taking on your teaching. I am sure nothing too interesting will come from this. Nothing at all. Nothing slime related. There's also a few cameos in the shot.

Zero G Academy Update Post 29/SEP/2018
Sorry for not posting for a long time, this was due to a few factors, real life issues, scripting needs, and a slight hiccup with computers that has been thankfully resolved in under three days.
We are still here working but don’t have much to show due to Art 2’s script just getting finished, which does put our date for the next update back a bit farther. But on the plus side a lot of the groundwork for Gym’s rework has been completed. We are on track for releasing sometime in October, later than we intended. This speed is thanks to Cosmic who will make the coloring fast and Noce who is now working on finishing Art 3.
More postings will be done next week with more detail, but until then enjoy this quick preview of Proa teaching MC the joys of painting.

Everyone so, patreon still trying to fix that bank change they did, and with that we creators still having some weird numbers and in any case, please, if you so kind, check that your payment has not been declined and went through if it did, you will have to call your bank and inform them the transaction is legitimate, or maybe consider other form of pledging.
American Express cards may not work to pledge to patreon based on what region you're in; if you use it and it isn't working anymore, then you'll need to use another card, OR link your card up with PayPal and then use PayPal to pay, using your card through PayPal as a middleman.
Pre-paid cards don't work anymore either as a direct payment method; however, you might be able to link it through PayPal as above, but it's unlikely it'll work TBH, you will likely need to link a card that is linked to a bank account OR link a bank account directly to your paypal.

Sorry for the wait for posting again, but we are having some difficulties in the scripting department, waiting for art to be ready to post, and realigning some priorities.
Good news is we have all the character sprites of existing content finished and colored except for a few more of MC’s.
Good news is we are bringing back gym content as fast as possible as well as expanding and reworking it.
Bad news is we are changing the schedule and the alignment of our future updates. And are posting the new update for the game by the first week of October.

Here’s the Music Teacher reworked into the Math Teacher, Lith whose story is where MC will meet while tutoring other students and find out so many fun things. Principal Libya whom MC will work for directly in future updates and who we have met. And Ms. Aktrenat who has more content in coming.
And here’s Fora, the Hall Monitor who will make some more appearances before getting into a story of her own at some future date along with the rest of security.

The Beautiful Game
Let’s talk briefly about some lore, especially about the sport MC will find himself drafted into when he goes to Gym.
Brutal Ball is the most popular sport in the Federation, it’s origins lie the ball games of the Varanids, a race of warm blooded reptiles whose ball games of semi-ritualized combat remained a cultural phenomenon after their uplifting. The predecessor game involved: distinctive turns where one team was attacking and the other defending, the game stopping upon the loss of the ball or the ball carrier being tackled to the ground, a long rectangular field, large team size, numerous specialized players, a lengthy section of phases, and numerous rules about contact.Brutal Ball was really invented when a group of Kimon, warrior women known for their fury and their horns, who were mercenary guards took up the predecessor game. They were most unimpressed with how long it took, how complicated its rules were, and its lack of constant action.
So they made the following rules:
- There are only three positions in the game.
- Attackers who are to remain only on the enemy team’s side of the field.
- Defenders who are to remain only on your team’s side of the field.
- Runners who can move to both sides of the field and in the narrow dividing strip.
- Team size varies but you must have an equal number of each position.
- The amount of players one can have on the field is in order of magnitudes of 3.
- 3 players, one for each position, is the minimum amount of players allowed on the field.
- Commonly the game is played with 6 players, two for each position, in most leagues.
- Reserve players must be one order less than the current players on the field if allowed.
- The field’s length is cut and divided into the following:
- Two end zones where a player with the ball once passed through will score.
- Two defender zones where opposing defenders and attackers are bound.
- The thin narrow strip dividing the defender zones known as the runner’s space.
- The game is now 30 minutes of non-stop action unless the game is paused for injuries, substitutions, out of bounds of the ball, or penalty removals.
- With penalty removals removing one point from the offending team’s score, additionally.
- And substitutions being a rule that is not uniform between most leagues.
- Penalty removals and replacement of players, removed by penalty is not a uniform rule as well.
- Injuries are not always replaced but the team causing them is penalized by removing a point.
- Fight between players are allowed but both the winner and the loser are removed from the game.
- If the ball goes out of bounds it is then tossed into the center of the field for a free for all.
- Intentionally putting the ball out of bounds costs the offending team a point additionally.
- The goal of the game is cross the enemy end zone with the ball, which gives 1 point for each crossing.
- The winner is the one with the most points, if the teams are tied, they play until someone scores and breaks the tie.
- You may pass, run, toss, kick, throw, punt, or any form of movement to another player or simply to another spot on the field to transfer the ball but must respect the movement restrictions of your position.
- You are allowed to use the ball as a weapon to hit the enemy team to move it.
- You may only wrestle, tackle, trip the enemy ball carrier.
- You can only block or wrestle with enemy players on the side of the field where the ball is.
- Ball carriers are allowed to use the ball to strike at those trying to get them.
- The field is a 40 meter wide and 70 meter long rectangle, that is traditionally a dirt or grass field.
- There are two 10 meter long areas at both ends for the end zones.
- Then two 20 meter long areas from the endzones.
- Then the final 10 meter long narrow dividing strip.
- Common modifications to these rules are
- Size of the field, with too many players or cramped conditions.
- Number of balls on the field with too many players.
With these rule changes, the sport became a massive phenomenon across the Federation, especially in the Federal Academies where it is the most popular sport. Kimon naturally have dominated the sport historically and it’s one of their more positive enduring legacies. MC will end up here due to not understanding what the sport is, his attitudes of his own superiority, and a fight between the team and the Coach.
The Team
Instead of the usual seven poses, they have five different poses that convey, a resting state where they await to do something, an approving state where they show that they like something, a euphoric state where they show they really like something (most of the time MC), furious where they might tear someone in half, and mocking where they belittle someone (most of the time MC). They have both nude and sport uniform poses. The poses you will be seeing today are their mocking ones.

She’s the softest and slowest of the bunch but she’s still a thug even if she’s childish.

She’s probably the most intelligent and level headed, but is usually the ice cold bitch.

Golganessa | Runner
She’s the model player who's always on point to the point of being a machine.
MC | Runner
Sent here to replace a the old runner Farax who got flunked out due to academics.
He’s not very competent at all, but he’s determined and with a little help might survive.

Zero G Academy Weekly Update 28/JUL/2018
Hello again it’s Poet with some quick things as we are in the time between updates. Rat will be off for a week in the future which will slow done our pose rework but he has finished Neoss, the school’s bully, Coach Yulvar whose brutality will be coming back, and is starting on Doctor Ofwyth who is by some stretch a doctor feelgood.
On the script front, Noce and Poet are working hard on it after some writer’s blocks and Smiles is working on his script for Tutoring.

By October 1st, Viper Story.
By November 1st, Vaal Story.
By December 1st, Art 3.

Roadmap Ahead
Sorry for being a day late, things got busy on my end.
We are working on the 0.6 Update which will contain Art 2 and poses rework for the future fixing of Gym which will be coming back, so don’t worry about it.
We aim for 0.6 to be released by at most the end of August and for it to contain 3-5 scenes, it focuses on MC being “tutored” by Proa whom we introduced earlier whose not yet in Art.
As for the Poses, Neoss, Doc Ofwyth, Coach Yulvar, and the five girl Brutal Ball Team will be getting their poses for the rework, while they aren’t in the update...we will show them off as it’s something that’s being incrementally done.
As for the release schedule it will be adjusted on this fact with Viper and Vaal content coming in for the side before Art is finished and we work on another class...which mostly likely will be Gym or Tutoring. But it will be put to a vote about it.
