Succession Problems
Added 2022-12-14 12:03:04 +0000 UTCI have finished writing the chapter 49 of The Dance is not Over, which is, as the title of this post implies, Succession Problems.
As a result, I'm beginning the preparations to write The odds were never in my favour Chapter 101. It should truly start no later than Sunday.
The betas haven't (yet) sent back a certain beta-ed work, so the moment they do, I will need to take a break to correct it.
As such, I can't give a deadline of TOWNIMF 101. I can just reassure all readers it will ready before my birthday (which for those recent patrons unaware of it, is December 31st).
Enjoy the chapter, and I hope the end of the year is good, for all the fact the weather and the cold try to not make it pleasant...

Dumbledore cast a compulsion and put several esoteric magic on the letter that went with baby Alexandra so that the Dudley raised her at first (that plus a small amount of magic). So things were aceptable at first...and yes, the Dursleys can raise a child (Dudley) even if not correctly...but once magic's power diminished and the Dursleys were...well, the Dursleys, things weren't so rosy at all anymore...

Like in canon, Mr. Dumbledore played the role of threat of punishment if they didn't. In the alternate timeline, I doubt Dumbles who serve as the antagonist would do so (and that letter would have been the bare minimum and not contain the warning "or else"). And I don't see the Dudley family being patient enough to raise a baby with all the crying and feeding. I'm surprised they didn't dump her into an orphanage or did something to lead to her early demise. I would suppose magic compulsion via wandless magic or Fate prophecy protection would serve as an explanation lmao.
