September 2021 Update
Added 2021-09-26 23:29:29 +0000 UTCIt's been real quiet around here. We apologize for the lack of updates, life got in the way and we ended up neglecting the Patreon. That's changing today!
To start things off, we're announcing that the Custom Platforms bounty has been fulfilled by affederaffe! This will be the final bounty that the BSMG will be awarding through the Patreon. We liked the idea of bounties, but executing it was more difficult than we initially imagined. A lack of feedback from patrons, lack of interest from Modders, and staffing issues for evaluating the validity of fulfilment are some of the issues we ran into.
Going forward the Bounties and Events tier will be combined into a single BSMG Supporter tier. Funds will be used to cover the costs of maintaining the BSMG servers as before, and any excess funds will be used towards BSMG community projects. This includes prizes for events and contests, tournaments, and larger modding projects that require staffing and funding.
Next month we have our annual Halloween Contest! Full details are listed in the discord #server-announcement channel. Submissions close on Oct 26 and judging closes on the 28th, so we'll be putting out playlists with all of the submitted content in time for the Halloween festivities! We're also planning to start up some game nights for our patrons, and we plan to stream these event nights to Twitch as well! Make sure your discord account is linked to Patreon so you can receive pings when they happen.
