SPOILERS! If you haven’t read Chapter 3 yet, you should do so before reading further.
Thanks to the miracle of advanced alien nanotechnology, our poor hero Chris has been re-engineered into a biological female of the human species, from the DNA on up. In accordance with Researcher Assistant Third Class Seela’s research proposal, the aliens now plan to “release him into the wild” much as we would do with an animal that we have cataloged and tagged, so that they can observe the cultural and psychological impact of the changes they have wrought.
What will Chris’ initial reaction be upon awakening to discover these changes?
