Emily was a girl from Jacobs senior year. He was shy and did get out much until he met her. She was cute and funny and way more bold than he ever was. She invited him to do everything with her, even taking him to the pool with her friends, which he felt very out of place with.
Emily was a mystery. She seemed unashamed and bold, enough to make Jacob blush. Was she was doing these things on purpose or was Jacob witnessing something innocent. It is never easy to tell with Emily. Like that time at the pool.
Maybe she was picking a wedgie or adjusting. Or maybe Jacob was mistaken and he didn’t see what he thinks he saw… it’s sort of hard to tell while your drowning.
