Supporter Update: March 2025

I've wanted to do this update video for a while but every time I did it something changed right after I filmed it! Right now it's all still accurate, though the stream subject I said I was doing changed because the Dasher terminal stopped showing video...I have a very solid lead on the problem so I'm not concerned but this project sure is keeping me busy.
The main thing I wanted to talk about is that it is a really weird position I'm in right now with the video edit and release timeline vs. the streams of working on the hardware. I'm much farther along on the hardware than is being shown in the videos but I need to make all of the videos that show all of the process. And having the buffer is already starting to pay off with difficult troubleshooting. So I'm keeping on track with my normal release schedule for now even though it's making things a little awkward with the delays.

I may do something like that with the microNOVA, floppy drives, and the Dasher. It would make for a really cool display if I can make a mini rack for it that resembles the originals

2025-03-26 01:07:08 +0000 UTCNot having ever been to a vcf conference, I’d suggest that finishing the data genera gives you something interesting to bring for a display. It would be most interesting next to usagi and his centurion or other retro gear that is period correct and then your own modern retro software like he did with snake.

2025-03-25 17:59:04 +0000 UTCFor what it’s worth, I often don’t watch the edited stream videos not because I’m uninterested, but because I’m so interested in them that I prefer to watch the full streams, either live or recorded. I’m thrilled to see the Data Generals starting to come to life!
