As someone who loves horror I got such a kick out of watching Adam Sandler be a wacky Dad-u-la for an hour and a half lol!!! This makes me really wanna watch the rest too! Well it was launch day, so I wanted to do something big! The spoof on the Universal monsters was so great!! And their version of normalcy was just so fun. Exactly, it's a good lesson in disguise isn't it. There's lots of other tropes too lol. Nice, I'd like to check them out! OMG the sheep scene was horrifying!!! Lol! Yeah well, movie sunlight moves like that :P

I do enjoy the tropes they use, and yes, the Universal monsters are probably the most well known and famous of the bunch, I agree. But it’s funnier putting them in the absurd position of normalcy. I suppose in some ways the “monsters are scared of humans” trope is actually just a way to make a PSA about judging others, but in this case it works enough. I mean none of what they DO in this story is new, from the “guy’s daughter falls for what he fears” to the “things aren’t as bad as they thought” and we even got the “he’s leaving on a plane in 15 minutes” trope. They watched a lot of sitcoms I bet. :P I believe there are THREE of these films. I’m not sure how I feel about the werewolf clearing the road, though… is that normal? PS: the sunlight definitely doesn’t move that slow. :P
