HAHAHAHAH what on earth is it with this frog! LOL Jin was the original Karen perhaps :P Thanks for clearing all that up and also about Lishu. That's true, some of this would just go unnoticed if not for Maomao! Can't wait till the bigger plot is revealed!!! The frog is gonna be so epic :P

You have no idea how much those of us in the know are dying on the other side of the screen when you say stuff like that. 🐸. As for this episode, it appears Xiaolan is really trying to grasp writing, and Jinshi’s caught on and is subversively helping Maomao make the servant girls more literate. 🐸. Of course he’s forgotten a few things that are important, but who hasn’t? 🐸? The crux of the episode is solving the death of Concubine Jin, but I think we wouldn’t be wrong to rename her “Karen.” 🐸. Because apparently those existed in the Middle Ages as well. 🐸. The down low is that Jin was murdered, although we aren’t sure who or how - and out of fear, Tao was put in her place. 🐸. Now what possibly could’ve happened after that was that thinking Jin was still alive, Son (the one laughing at her funeral) targeted Tao as the impostor. 🐸. Tao herself had to both pose as the concubine and this became increasingly difficult when she was receiving marriage proposition herself, so she was leading two lives. 🐸. They never said exactly WHY she was targeted, but you can come up with a decent number of reasons as well as who and how. 🐸. You asked about Lishu, the extremely young top class concubine - you didn’t want to talk about that particular topic, but I should remind you Lishu was right in the middle of that controversy - I can’t remember all the details so check your replays but the bottom line is it’s established that she receives the status of a top rank concubine, but the current emperor does not “visit” her. 🐸 You wondered why nobody noticed the corpse - well, not everyone is Maomao, but also of note: she was buried in the north woods - away from where the majority of the population (2,000 women) go - in fact, Maomao suggested renovating some of those abandoned buildings for the school. 🐸. All of this is important for different reasons and different plot lines, like everything, but you have to figure out what’s part of the mystery of the week, and what’s part of the bigger plot. 🐸. As far as the frog reveal? 🐸? Oh trust us. 🐸. You will KNOW when it happens. 🐸. 🐸🐸🐸
