Hey everyone! Here it is - my reaction to episode 8 of season 3 of Dr. Stone! OMG!!! We got so much info in this one - how it looks/works to petrify someone, more about this mysterious island life, and most of all - GINRO!!! We can count on Suika and Ginro to see this through!!! Oh yeah, let's not forget about that SMOOCH!!! LOL!!!! Can't wait to see what happens next! Great stuff! Enjoy!! ~ MH

Hahah I agree! That's the thing, I really need to know more about this beam! And I was right there with you about there being no master, the whole thing is too shady. LOL for Ryusui, I guess that's gentle :P Suika is the MVP!!! Aren't they a fun duo?!?! And one we don't get to see that often!

They had no right to do Kohaku dirty like that 😂 We got great information here but I’m still curious and also very skeptical that this truly is the beam we were introduced to for some reason. I need to see this master— if there even is one. Lol aw it was sweet that Ryusui managed to save Suika but I imagined it a tad bit more touching than that swift kick haha 😆 Suika always comes in clutch and she did it again with saving Ginro here. I’m loving this setup of Suika and Ginro. I think that’s such a fun pair and I can’t wait to see what they do.🍈

OH MAN, the second these three showed up I knew we were officially entering the “uh oh, everything’s about to escalate” arc. Minister Ibarra’s mustache alone screams trouble — like, sir, that is a villainous twirl if I’ve ever seen one. Also Kirisame is an absolute powerhouse! Her going toe-to-toe with Kohaku was crazy!! And Moz… wait WHAT!!!! There's no way he's Jonathan....and there's no way Jonathan and Fat Gum are the same VA too lol!!! My brain just exploded!!! And YES, Amaryllis!! You’ve been scheming in isolation for too long, girl — Senku is here to science your dreams into reality, one dangerously impossible plan at a time!! Thank you for the lore clarification too — I was kinda piecing it together but this helps so much. The Hundred Tales reaching both sides totally tracks. Of course Byakuya’s people would’ve wanted that knowledge to survive everywhere. And LOL, poor Kohaku — slandered AND sabotaged by impractical fashion?? Justice for my jungle queen!! She deserves better than being forced to fight while wrapped in tulle. Honestly, if she had her usual gear, Kirisame might’ve been sweating a lot harder right?? Senku x Kohaku… yeah, I feel you. Not really a ship that makes me squeal but like… process of elimination? 😂 We all know Senku’s type is “useful ally with functional reasoning skills” more than “romantic entanglement.” Sorry, Amaryllis, science first, flirting second. Also GINRO… buddy… I want to believe… but… you’re still Ginro. 😅 (I say this with love. Mostly.) And YESSSS I saw that S4 part 2 started!! Time to buckle up for more chaos, more science, and probably more petrification beams. LET’S GO. 🙌

Three new characters have entered the fray: Minister Ibarra, the guy with the twirly mustache. As far as things you’d recognize, he’s Torosuke from Konosuba, Arthur from Black Butler and Mjolmille from Sline, all supporting characters. Kirisame: the female character who’s tossing the petrification beam and attacked the ship. She also is clearly skilled as she went one on one with Kohaku and held her own. Her VA has a lot of roles I’ve seen, but nothing I can point to for you reaction wise. Moz: the male servant who was commenting about “squeezing cute girls.” His VA credits include Fat Gum from MHA… and also… some guy named Jonathan Joestar… 👀 Amaryllis has clearly been trying to get to the bottom of this petrification device for a while now, even though she doesn’t understand it. Senku’s arrival is just the card she needs to start getting done actual results, it appears. So two things you seem to be unclear about. 1. This island is where the spaceship landed post petrification. Given that some of the ancestors made it to Japan by boat, it’s clearly not too far away from the “mainland.” 2. The people of the island knowing the Hundred Tales would make sense, as they split up at some point after returning. It may not have even happened in Byakuya’s lifetime, so the tales would’ve been taught simultaneously to both the people who left and ended up becoming citizens of Ishigami Village, and those who stayed put on the island. They probably designated a priestess to retain the stories in both places. “If only there was a cute girl in our party who could also fight…” They did my girl a little dirty this episode, first slandering her looks, and then making her fight in that getup? She partially got beaten up so much by Kirisame because she kept tripping over the mechanics of her dress. I mean there IS a Senku x Kohaku ship out there just so you know, but as I have said previously, I think these two might end up together just because nobody else really makes sense, but because they have any emotion or anything. XD After all, we all know he ain’t gonna be taken in by someone who tries to lay it on thick - sorry Amaryllis, you’re out! Hang on, I’m writing this down… most awkward ship moments in anime. Good thing Suika got soccerballed off the ship just in time by Ryusui. If that hadn’t happened, we’d have to pin all our hopes on… Ginro… 😅 Maybe I’m not being fair to the guy who sounds like a short volleyball player and he does come through when he really has to… There’s just one problem here… …He’s still Ginro…. 😅 It’ll be fine, right…? Right…? 👀 Second cour of S4 started airing this weekend by the way.
