My dad watches an insane gold miner reality show on discovery channel where total idiots rip up beautiful (mostly Canadian) landscapes to make like three dollars in profit because they all suck at mining. One beyond parody storyline was when they had a group of ex-troops (the kind that vaguely describe themselves as "special forces" despite obviously not being tier 1 operators) who thought they could mine gold because troops can do anything and they were the biggest dumbasses they ever had on the show. They were constantly flipping over their giant machinery and shit.

2023-10-16 15:25:27 +0000 UTCalso, i remember hearing a lot about their feud on tv as a kid and because o’donnell and donald sounded similar i assumed that they were a divorced couple, which would explain the feud but it didnt register with me that one was a last name and the other a first name lol. i also thought george bush was related to george washington when i was very young, presumably getting washington mixed up with H.W. bc they were all named george

2023-10-16 05:07:03 +0000 UTClike 15-20 years ago my grandparents were watching the news/today show or something and they were talking about trump and rosie o’donnell’s feud. trump had called her a fat slob or whatever and had made a comment insulting all fat women. my grandpa turned to my grandma and said “does that offend you?” and she responded “well that didnt, but THAT did!” and they got in a huge fight lol

2023-10-16 05:02:05 +0000 UTCalex, there actually is something you can do with the gold miners in rdr2. if you keep an eye on him from a distance without him noticing you, you can wait and you’ll eventually hear him start celebrating because he found some gold. then you can kill/rob him and steal his gold nugget. its not much but its something, love how you can still find new things on every playthrough
