I was also a young dilbert reader, I think if you were a nerdy ass kid like me the jokes made more sense especially in the first books before he pivoted to all office plotlines after that was more of a success

Cop came cuz my neighbor called after he saw them leaving with just bags full of copper wiring lmfao but they never looked into it bc they asked my dad for a witness statement and he called the dudes “Goombas” and the cop was Italian. She did not like that
