As Baz pointed out, Majel Barrett was the wife of Gene Roddenberry - which is why she crops up all over the place! Nonetheless, she's a fine comic actress; and Lwaxana gives her great opportunity to display her talent. This episode is a fine Deanna story,and allows us to learn all about her. As a story,its a little too twee for me;especially as you can see the ending coming from miles away - but it's still a very charming episode.

2025-08-04 21:35:24 +0000 UTCSo Lwaxana Troi played by Majel Barrett-Roddenberry is Lwaxana in TNG, Nurse Chapel in TOS, the voice of the computer in TNG and she was also married to Gene Roddenberry! Also in this episode was Frieda Claxton and The Wedding Planner from The Golden Girls. Well excuse me for living Anita Bryant! And watching Picard before TNG was a bit backwards! LOL. Would love your feedback on this! I saw this episode many times and saw the original airing and was worried she would leave as have always been pro Riker and Troi. Love this episode and loved your reaction!
