We are back with Star Trek: The Next Generation! Today's episode is titled The Battle. This episode had Picard look back at his past as it threatened to swallow him whole. This episode had me so confused until the last minute but I really enjoyed it. Again, Wesley saved the day! They need to stop sleeping on our boy, he's always helping them get out of serious jams.

2025-07-17 15:36:34 +0000 UTCThis story feels like a sort of template for what TNG will become: a focus on one specific character and their backstory; and a creative, sometimes dark and suspenseful plot. Patrick Stewart is superb in this - but you can see why Wesley Crusher isn't always well liked by the fandom, as he's very much a boy wonder!
