Greetings, fellow futa lovers!
Things were different this month. A lot has changed both in my artistic and personal lives, mostly for the better, but change, well, change is never easy, so I faced some challenges along the way. For the first time, I couldn’t rely on my home studio for half of the painting sessions, so this was our first illustration pack created with a tablet, using a limited set of tools.
I felt like one of those intrepid impressionists, travelling with a portable studio and wondering about new ways to capture the colors and lights in their surroundings. Weird things happen when one’s away from the studio and its controlled environment. Painting sessions are usually shorter. New solutions arise more often, since it’s a less comfortable experience. Also, people may try to approach you (even if you’ve chosen to sit at the last table of the coffee shop for a reason).
A particular accident made me feel devastated: I noticed that, for some reason, my mobile Krita app didn’t capture the process by default, so the first hour of sketching, drawing, and painting was lost and will be missing from the timelapse (the other seven to eight hours of work are all there, though). I gave in to the elements when I found this out but, to compensate for this loss, I decided to design a cozy, cottage-core kitchen for the background.
Despite everything, it was a fun, fulfilling experience. All I wanted was to revisit Epona in a more down-to-earth illustration, and I think I managed to do it. She’s at home, getting creative in her kitchen, and using her secret equine ingredient to achieve the thickest filling of the most delicious pie in town.
Thank you so much for the love and support! I’ll send the links for the Carmine and Cyan packs in a few minutes.
Enjoy! =^_____^=
