Sad news

(TL:DR at the end) 

I'll start by apologizing for the recent silence here, and for the silence that will probably come after this post.

I won't go into too much details about my personal life, but in addition to some pretty serious family issues, I recently broke my right hand (you know, the one I use to draw, animate and program games ?) and recovery is being very slow.
But this stuff isn't the only problem I'm having with KW's development.

In the past months I tried making this page my full time occupation, thinking it will be the best thing in the world to draw buttocks and weewees all day, while making a bit of money, but it has been quite the opposite.
The constant anxiety of having to make my game good, and having to make it fast to not lose my income, (that's already barely enough to cover my rent), while receiving daily messages reminding me that i'm being very slow, is getting a bit heavy for my low self-esteem brain.

Most of you must be thinking "it's not that deep bro, it's just a porn game" and you would be completely right.
I'm not trying to make myself a victim or anything like that, I just think since y'all have been supporting me for a while, you deserve an explanation of where I'm at.

And while I'm super grateful for the support I got with this game, and realizing a lot of game devs would kill to have a similar community, it's just not working for me, both money-wise (I live in a pretty expensing area, and moving isn't an option unfortunately) and mental health-wise, at least not in that current format.

My current situation forces me to get other jobs on the side to not starve to death, so posting here will be halted for a while. 

I can't really tell you guys when, or in what form, KW and my other projects will come back, but they will. I really love what I started creating here, I just need to figure out a way of doing it that works for me.

I apologize again for those who supported me in the past months and who felt betrayed by my lack of presence.

TL:DR : Working on KW full time hasn't been working for me, both mentally and financially. Patreon rewards and game updates will be paused for a while. I'll be back as soon as I can with more details.

 It really feels like shit to have to make this post after teasing multiple cool projects I have on the back burner.

Weekly Post - 09

This will just be a very short update on what I'm doing !

KINKY WIZARDRY~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

I'm taking a bit of extra time on writing this time.

I'm aware that my storytelling isn't the main reason you guys enjoy Kinky Wizardry, but I grew a bit tired of my usual way of doing updates :

Usually I just think of what girl I want to show in what scene, and write a little story around it for the update.

This past week i've been planning how I want each girl's "story" to end, so that I can have a clear goal in mind with each update. (Don't worry, this doesn't mean we're near the end of Kinky Wizardry, or that I'll never add a new universe to the game.) This probably won't show in 0.9, but it will make my life so much easier for the future.

I'm aiming to release Update 0.9 for patrons at the end of May/early June max.

I'll probably do another Weekly post before that, to tease you guys with a bit of art from the update, along with giving you some news on my new project's development (the one I talked about in the last Weekly Post.)

Weekly Post - 08

Been a while since I did one of these ! Here's some news on what I've been doing recently.

KINKY WIZARDRY~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

Update 0.9's writing will soon be completed (remember you can always check the progress of the next update on my Discord Server in the "latest-update" channel !).

My plan for this update, and for at least a couple of them after it, will be to stop adding a bunch of new girls for a while, and give some well deserved love to the girlies that don't have a lot of scenes yet .
And since the recent Poll ended with Bulma ahead, she will have a quest/animated scene in the next update ! Yay ! (Along with an other girl of my choosing)

KINKY SLIMON & OTHER GAME~~~~~~~~~~~~

Remember those two game I teased in the last Weekly Post ?... back in January ?

Yeah, as you might has guessed by the delay, those hit a few bumps on the road of development.

Don't fret, they aren't canceled, you'll just have to wait a bit more before getting your greasy hands on them.

ANOTHER ONE ? WHY AM I DOING THIS TO MYSELF ?~~~~~~~

When I started working on Kinky Wizardry, it was my first time ever trying my hand at game developing, animating, writing dialogues, and even drawing NSFW was new for me.

But today, I feel like I improved in all of these categories, and looking back on thing I did in the early stages of KW, I feel like there's a lot I could have made different.

With that in mind, I've decided to start making a brand new RPG game, in parallel to Kinky Wizardry.

The idea here is to have a game with a similar concept as Kinky Wizardry (Topdown view rpg with no combat, a bunch of sex scenes and questionable humor) but where I'll make everything from scratch.

For this project (unnamed yet) I'll be drawing the maps, the sprites, make better animations, and only feature original characters that I have created ! No girls from other licenses here (Don't worry, you'll still have Kinky Wizardry updates with them, you goons.)

Also I feel a bit guilty when i don't post here for a few weeks, leaving you guys in the dark. So for my new game, I'll share more teasers and spoilers here. Here's some little early explorations :

Hi beauties,

I'm currently in the process of writing the update 0.9 of KW, and I want your opinion !

This Update's goal is to give some love to some girls that don't have enough scenes.

I have half of the update planned out, but I'm not sure which girl should be in focus for the other half.

So help me choose which girl should have an animated scene in Update 0.9 !

If you don't see your favorite girl in the list, it might be because she's already supposed to have a scene.

If you still want to use your save, your game won't have a complete questlog, but will be playable otherwise.

Weekly Post - 07

Oi mate, that sure looks like a mighty fine weekly post innit.

New game number 1 ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

Let's talk a bit about those new game I teased in the last Weekly post !

The first game is called Kinky Slimon, it's a simple pixel-art minigame based on the famous old-school game Simon. It will feature a bunch of animated NSFW scenes ! 

Here's a little teaser screenshot of the menu 

The game will be offered to every Tier 2 and above Patron for the first 3 months after release, which should not be too far from now (more information soon !). And will be available on itch.io for a few dollars for everyone else.

Kinky Wizardry ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

That being said, me and my talented dev Yaki are having a few delaying factors for the release of Kinky Slimon, (it was originally planned for mid-january, woops) so, since the art part of the game is fully done and I'm only waiting on some programming things, I can start development on Kinky Wizardry 0.8 early ! Yay !

The new update (introducing the Naruto universe) is already written, and I started programming it today, you will get more informations and teaser very soon.

In the meantime, you can expect some more art posted here !

Weekly Post - 06

Gather around boys and gals, today is announcment day !

As you might have noticed, I haven't been the most present in terms of posting on here and social medias in the past weeks/months.

And the reason for that is

I'M MAKING NEWS GAMES !

That's right, new games, plural.

Here's a tiny tiny peek 

Two brand new colorful games set in the Kinky Wizardry universe are coming soon, the first one is set to release in January, and the second, more ambitious game will have a short demo also releasing for free early in 2024, with the full game coming later during the year.

Both games will be single-purchase, with no recurrent updates like Kinky Wizardry (Excluding the likely bugfixes...) 

They will both be available on Itch.io, but all Tier 2 and above patrons will also receive the games.

That's all I will share for now, but don't worry, more details are coming very soon !

If you have questions, you can always message me or post on the Discord server , I will be very happy to give my usual cryptic half-responses !

Regarding Kinky Wizardry

No, that doesn't mean development on Kinky Wizardry will stop, I did take about a month and a half of pause to work on both games and for the holidays (you know, seeing my family, not telling them what I do for a living, that sort of thing) but, starting January 01, Kinky Wizardry will return to it's normal sheduling of updates, and maybe even a bit faster, because :

I'm happy to say I will quit my current job and start Full-time game developing !🎉

Well, at least for as long as I can before I run out of money and my landlord kicks me out.

Anyway that's it for this post which will probably be the last of 2023, I hope you guys have a wonderful end of your year, and I will see you all in early January with a bunch of cool new stuff to show !

Not a ton to talk about this week, my job isn't leaving me a lot of time to work on the game or do art.

In other news, what the f*ck is happening with twitter ? (Or, as no one in their right mind would call it, X)

Every day I see more and more tweets from artists and devs saying they get shadowbanned, lose half their followers, get 0 likes on their posts, stuff like that.

And while I don't care about that sort of thing for myself, since I avoid looking at numbers and statistics, I am concerned because no other website really does what twitter does, and it is a great tool. So if it goes to shit, even more than it already is, I would be very sad (see picture above)

Like, a few days ago I tried messaging someone who had their DMs open, and everytime I hit 'send', I had to do a dumb "are you a robot" minigame-thing, and had to type my message all over again. And after FOUR different attempts, twitter told me I needed to pay to message someone ??

Anyway, I hate it, but enough rambling.

I'll try to upload some fresh art for you guys this week ! Buh-bye !

Weekly Post - 04

Hello my dazzling darlings.

Long time no see ! I skipped a few weekly post because I was working on 0.7. (I also might have forgotten a few times, but this exercice is still new to me, give me time, all right ?)

Happy news this week ! First of all, 0.7 got released, with (almost) no bugs, and only positive feedback, so I'm really happy with that.

On the subject of Update 0.8, I already have every scenes mapped out in my head, I'll move to the writing dialogues step real soon. That being said, this update might take a bit more time to come out, because I want to grow some other projects simultaneously. 

For example, I want to start doing more comics in the Kinky Wizardry universe. I made a small one in the past (the Valentine-getting-stuck-in-a-mimic thing, remember ?), and I have a few other 3/4 panels comcis planned out, with a bonus panel for Tier 2 and above patrons, and I want to move to making longer comics in multiple parts in the future, similar format to what @Nortuet or @Breed_Blue are doing on Twitter.

In addition, I want to do more patreon sketches, maybe weekly or bi-weekly, we'll see.

In other happy news, the Patreon page is growing ! To a point where it ""almost"" covers my monthly aparment rent. 

It might look like it means nothing for you guys and I'm just bragging about making more money, but if I manage to make enough to leave my current daytime job and work on KW full time, the content and updates will be more frequent !

I still need the page to grow more to achieve that, and for that I will work as hard as I can, but I'm really happy and proud with how this almost 1 year journey is going. And I thank you guys for it !

Hello my cheesy comrades.

This is not a drill, we are nearing completion on Update 0.7, it should wash on Patreon shores next week !

Like with every update, I got set back a little when I was done with art and dialogues, and I had to actually implement my silly ideas in RPGMaker's clunky system.

Not a ton to talk about in this week's post, but I had a question for you guys.

What's your opinion on original characters in the game ?

FYI, Valentine is, for now, the only original character in the game, meaning that she isn't a parody character from another franchise. In Update 0.7, a new original character is introduced. (do not worry, parody girls are, and will remain the main focus of the game) I just needed a specific archetype for a character, and no girls in media that fit this archetype were of interest to me, so I created my own.

I'm aware that the girls are the main selling point of my game, you guys probably saw Nami's butt on the cover art, and that's what got you to click on "Download", and frankly, I don't blame you for it.

I'm just wondering if, for example, a future update focused entirely on a original girl, like Valentine, would that make said update less attractive for you guys, compared to an update that's adding content for Nami, Jinx, or Eva ?

Weekly Post - 02

Hello my bubbly buddies.

Already the second Weekly Post, how time flies.

Update 0.7 is slowly approaching it's completion 🥳🎉
Dialogues are done, art is 80% done, I just need to throw everything in RPG Maker and stick things together with glue and tape.

I'm won't be doing the same mistake of giving you guys a precise date for the release, but it shouldn't be too long... I hope...

I also want to get back to doing Patreon sketches for you guys, but I want to finish this update before anything else.

Weekly Post - 01

Greetings, my amazing amigos,

I've been feeling a tad guilty about for not posting here for long periods of time, so I've decided to start sharing weekly updates to keep you all in the loop ! In these, I'll let you know how the game's development is going, maybe ask you for some feedback, and perhaps even provide sneak peeks at some fresh artwork.

The new update's development is sailing smoothly, though it is taking a bit more time than other updates, mainly because it contains more art than usual (we're talking 2 new girl busts, 3 picture scenes, 1 animated scene, and a ton of new maps)

Also, in addition of the normal update stuff, I have to do some set-up and some retconning for the following update (0.8), that will open the next portal, and the next universe.

Here's a peak at some H I P S coming in the next update.

Speaking of the next universe, I received a lot of comments and DMs showing disapointment in Naruto being the winner of the Next universe Poll, saying that Naruto's main girls are already over-representated in other games.

And to be frank, I'm a bit of a boomer when it comes to Naruto, and am not particularly invested in the newer or lesser-known female characters from the franchise, and I don't feel like adding content to the game if I don't really like the girls.

So here's my question to you, my beautiful, sweet patron :

If Naruto is the next universe added to the game, would it be a deal-breaker for you if the girls end up being Tsunade, Sakura, or Ino ?

Is the allure of the busty blonde MILF somewhat overrated ?

Development Update - 05

Hi everyone, quick update !

Alpha 0.6 is on it's way, all of the writing is done, I just need to finish the art and glue everything together ! I'm aiming for the alpha to come out before the end of july.

Also, I've been working on something new for you guys, it's very exciting, and I can't say too much but you will get some news very soon !
