dance with baby in arms
Added 2025-06-23 16:44:06 +0000 UTCthis mod adds a new interaction to stereos: "dance with baby in arms".
it works with both infants and toddlers!
base game compatible
requires the xml injector
available for sims from teen to elder.
outcomes:
increases fun and social motives;
increases parenting skill;
helps fulfill the "party spirit" and "art & music" holiday traditions (alongside other related actions);
adds unique buffs:
known issue:
the interaction works most of the time, but can be a bit tricky with infants - sometimes the baby starts crying, the action cancels, or the adult puts them down for no reason. this is just how the game behaves with infants, and sadly, it’s not something i can fix(

2025-09-20 11:54:32 +0000 UTCthat’s lovely idea! i’ve seen a mod like this before (https://modthesims.info/d/635277/child-can-be-carried-by-adults-and-child-can-care-for-toddlers-mod-in-progress.html), but unfortunately it stopped working. i looked through its code, and it overrides many parts of the game, which means a mod like this would break often or cause other issues. so for now, i don’t think i’m ready to take on a similar project. but the idea is really cool!
