add-on: choose animation style in my mods!
Added 2025-06-03 20:40:08 +0000 UTCnow the animations in my mods aren’t strictly tied to gender anymore.
you can set the animation type individually for each sim!
requires the xml injector
you’ll find the option in the debug sim menu.
here’s how to access it:
1. open the cheat console and type "testingcheats true";
2. shift + click on a sim;
3. choose the animation style you’d like them to use.
there are three options:
feminine animation type
masculine animation type
default ea animation type
notes:
the chosen style will apply to all my mods at once (but only the updated or new ones). you can’t use “female” animations for one override and “male” for another.
i also added a “default” animation option for overrides. you might want to use that for elders, since my custom animations feel a bit more youthful.
tip: with the mod “always testing” by tmex, you don’t need to type “testingcheats true” every time to access the debug menu.

for now, the following mods work with the add-on:
- read in bed
- new music listening interactions
- endless grief
- nap with baby in bed (now on pre-release)
- phone call animation override
- computer animation override
- painting animation override
- relaxed tv animation override
- eating at the table animation override
i’ll update all my mods, but i’ll need some time for that 🌷
i’m really happy to have finally figured out a way to make this possible!

2025-06-28 23:36:19 +0000 UTCThis might be impossible because I have no idea how modding works, but do you think there is a way to disable your custom animations on specific objects? For example, I have a lot of CC couches and seats that don't fit the typical sizes of EA furniture (like the back is rounded or something), so when my sims sit on those items to watch TV with your override, their back is a good foot from the back of the couch/chair. I love the override and don't want to disable that, I just want to disable it for that specific piece of furniture!
