A Javan Tiger was a story i had floating around in my head since i was sixteen. it took till i was twenty five to finally sit down and draw the thing out, honestly partly out of laziness and partly cause i really had no clue what i was doing as a storyteller. i had extensive notes and drawings scattered from hell to breakfast and when i had the whole thing drawn out the finished product opened up several repressed memories. writing it was emotionally painful. it is an imperfect, inconsistent, and frankly messy work of cringe. but i'm glad i did it. it's up on deviantART if anyone wants to read it. if you do read it i hope you'll forgive a younger and (if it can believed) a more wordy and pretentious me. π it won't matter for understanding Tiger Tea any better. A Javan Tiger was meticulously planned with a definite ending, Tiger Tea is on the fly with no plans for a conclusion and i like it better this way. A Javan Tiger was supposed to be Agi's only story, She had other plans. but most important, A Javan Tiger was about death and loss, Tiger Tea is about life and figuring out how to live. anyhoo, long winded comment, i hope people are enjoying these comics as i sincerely love drawing them. it's much less painful these days ever since i stopped trying to draw water from a stone.
