Cassastereo's Mapperie is 1 year old today!

Hello Everyone!

Exactly today, one year ago i launched this Patreon!

Thank you for the amazing support, you're helping me making this my full time job!

Here are some trivias about some of the most popular (according to reddit) maps i published this year:

The Mimic Tavern: this was the first time I decided to make a highly thematic map with dedicated assets that will be probably used only for this map. The idea came while explaining to my girlfriend what mimics are (she asked as I was playing dark souls 3 at the time).

The Living Nexus: this was a commissioned map. At first, I thought it was a cheesy idea but proved immensely popular! Would have never made anything like it if it wasn't commissioned!

Battle Over Catrazzo: what started it all! I was already making maps both for my personal game and on commission but I had this map in mind for a long time just for the pleasure of making it but wasn't feeling confident enough about being able to make it!

Made it and I'm immensely happy I did!

Cragmaw Hideout but in the Jungle: so it was summer of last year and just bought Dungeondraft. I wanted a small project to work on to familiarize myself with the program and opted for LMoP but there were already very good maps for it. So I thought it would be fun to mix it a bit and set it in the Jungles near Chult, it's summer after all!

Steps Out of the Underdark: ooooh boy! This was a double map commission and this was the only time I scrapped a map over and over. The commissioner was very demanding and had a very clear picture of the map. After a lot of back and forth, this was one of the iterations (my favourite one). Getting the perspective right was hellish and my girlfriend proved pivotal in this.

Crashed Airship: wanted to give a follow up to Battle over Catrazzo. I remember one evening I wanted to map an airship crash site and this came out! Made it in around 4 hours too (which I consider a very short time)! Was heavily influenced by FF9 for some reason.

Entrance to Underdark Ruins: second map of the two-part commission including Steps out of the Underdark. Would have never imagined this map would rack up so many upvotes but here we are.

The Float: part of my LMoP reskin. There's a big error on shadowing on this map, but none pointed it out sooooo.....

The Chambers of Mana: I remember being on Overdrive while making this map! It was commissioned by my Patron Hannu (check his work out on his Discord server: https://discord.gg/dragonworks).

I love Magitek and Arcanepunk setting (as you might know I started mapping Eberron shortly after) and I was completely sucked in while making this map (took around 60 hours in one week).

Bastion City: this is a big one! Again very Magitek but it is also veeeery big, it's actually 4 maps combined. Was a commissioned piece!

Looking forward to this next year of maps and thank you again for the support!
