King Wolf's newest comic series, Villains of the Snow Sea, features fan favorite Laily in her own unique adventures in a sort of "snow western" mixed with fantasy setting. In her travels across the massive continent of the Snow Sea, she seeks justified revenge, but finds a lifetime's worth of experiences that will teach her there are worse things than what she seeks vengeance for.
In the introductory chapter, the huntress Laily corners a target and ends up in a brutal fight.

An evil overlord runs the Kill Everything tournament, offering a million dollars for every combatant who can kill an opponent. A mysterious werewolf lady joins the tournament to get rich, soon befriending the overlord's mopey whiny daughter. Together they discover that the tournament is bad. Pretty obvious, to be honest. But are there other mysterious secrets within the tournament? Eventually yes! They're just not in the first chapter.
This is basically a goofy take on battle arena manga, made as a comic jam experiment back on the old SWC blog on tumblr back in 2015, with each page being done by a different artist, meant to be a fun sort of practice for our artist followers to try out making a page for a previously written comic. The comic got 1 chapter in before fizzling out (in part due to a sudden unrelated tumblr ban) but is still a fun comic, and I decided to upload it here so it's available somewhere, as there's currently no other good place to host it. I also wanted to show that I've done other comics in the past.
No joke, I've turned off "pay what you want" several times and it turns itself back on. I want it off because I can't split money to the artists. PLEASE BE WARNED that any money donated to PWYW will only be going to the writer.
Maybe someday I'll have the whole comic officially redone and completed and if I do I will still always give a huge thanks to the cool artists (many of which wanted to remain anonymous) who helped make the first chapter real. Until then, perhaps you can enjoy this weird fun experiment comic.
Helen Arambula spends her days at school being a big fat dork, but when she gets home she puts on her cosplay outfit, grabs a huge laser gun, and stands around in her bedroom, waiting to be teleported to an alien planet full of crazy monsters that she fights in her giant battle machine spraying lasers and missiles everywhere! But does she actually teleport? Will she wait in her bedroom the whole time, for the entire rest of the comic, just standing there like a dumb nerd? Was it all a dream? NO! Adventures are had as Helen must find a way to balance school, homework, blowing up demons in her mech, helping her fellow mech riders stay alive, and the most difficult challenge of all, getting through those horrible years of puberty in which she desperately tries to get someone, anyone, to like her at all.
