All Your Damn Requests (50 Damn Videos)

About a year and a half ago, I started offering video requests here. I did this to give back, cause I know you all like my reviews and I hadn't been in a position to make them for some time. People on here kept supporting me during my homeless pandemic years when all I could make were hotel lets plays, car podcasts, and outdoor skits, so once I got somewhere relatively stable I figured the best thing Endless Jess could do was hand you the reigns for a little while and let you recommend some stuff for me to talk about. 

Some of these took the form of scripted video reviews, others were more loose but still with a strong visual component, some were longer live action experiences with me goofing off on camera, others were straight up podcast style, for which i usually recorded multiple takes to make certain i was saying something funny and/or interesting. 

Unless specified in the request, i just made whatever kind of video your recommendations inspired in me, but for every one i took great care and effort took to make sure they were all worth watching. I really don’t think there’s a bad video or podcast in this bunch, and as always I made sure to accompany each with an amusing and substantive write-up. 

The freedom to approach how I do things is the only way I can operate, so I'm appreciative of anyone who put their trust in my process, and I sincerely hope you all feel you got your money’s worth. 

Some of your requests were very cool and fun. Some of them were horrible, torturous pains in my butt. But none of them were half-assed. I watched a hundred episodes of Magical Doremi for crap's sake, in TWO languages… out of order! I’d have had an easier time beating Ghosts and Goblins with my feet. 

Some people made a request and then got declined and never paid for it, but I did it for them anyway because I’m the most kind and generous soul on earth. Others cleverly attempted to use one pledge to request reviews of multiple iterations in a franchise, which I graciously allowed and gladly gave. You’re welcome. I always go above and beyond for my supporters, and I respect any audience that respects me. I think I've proven that, yet again. I rarely make promises, but when I do, I deliver.

These requests have kept me sharp, and helped get me back into the swing of writing and editing reviews. On the whole this experiment was very rewarding, and I thank everyone who took part in it, but it was also a horrible nightmare, and it made me poor again.

Reward tiers are set up to stack, so a single high pledge would net people up to 5 separate requests. I got so many requests right away that I had to stop taking new ones within the first 6 months, and it took until now to finish them all. 

This was on top of my own regular stuff like The Blue Glow, Panel-Cast, and the wrestling reviews. The result of this being an avalanche of content, created not by choice but necessity. Understandably, the more content i post the more people are gonna limit their pledges, so I accidentally created a situation where I’ve had to pump out more and more content for less and less return. Oops. 

I'm tired, boss. I’m gonna take it easy from now on and go back to being more selective about what I put my focus into. That’s gonna be better for me and you in the long run. Quality over content. You’ll see what I mean. 

Request tiers might come back eventually in small doses, but not on this scale. So if you didn't take advantage of it, too bad, you missed your chance forever. To those who did, may you always know pride in the fact that you had a small part to play in the oeuvre of yours truly.
